Love this great song love the beat
This group may have been one-hit wonders but they gave us an all-time classic!
@@scottburton9701- Many don't realize, most groups had no hits - period. A vocal group was fortunate to have a record of theirs make it to the charts. Only a few, such as The Platters, The Diamonds, The Drifters, etc, for example, hit the record charts with any regularity. If a group had even one "popular" song to their name, they were considered to be above average back then.
Wow yes indeed love these songs it’s 2024 and I just had to play this
Lyrics Personality - Johnny Mercer When Madam Pompadour was on a ballroom floor Said all the gentlemen obviously The madam has the cutest personality And think of all the books about Du Barry's looks What was it made her the toast of Paris? She had a well-developed personality What did Romeo see in Juliet? Or Pierrot in Pierrette? Or Jupiter in Juno? You know And when Salome danced And had the boys entranced, no doubt It must have been easy to see That she knew how to use her personality A girl can learn to spell and take dictation well And never sit on the boss's settee Unless she's got a perfect personality A girl can get somewhere in spite of stringy hair Or even just a bit bowed at the knees If she can show a faultless personality Why are certain girls offered certain things Like sable coats and wedding rings? By men who wear their spats right? That's right! So don'tcha say: I'm smart and have the kindest heart Or: What a wonderful sister I'd be Just tell me, how you like my personality! Baby, you've got the cutest personality

Me in 2024
I used to work in construction. And met a man who was named John Fisher, and I went to school with his son, and he was an artist . I hope he sees this . But John was a truck driver for the construction company, & I tell you what when Big John stepped out of that truck you always greeted him with a handshake and a kiss depending on what mood swing he was in. I miss you, Big John , may you rest in peace . Dedicated to you, my friend , Johnny Fisher
