That was an insanely brutal and savage war front. Life expectancy was far less than on the European front. They shared everything about it that my parents nor teachers could ever have shown me about the realities of war and of the painful goodbyes to those that stayed behind and painful returns of the severely injured and the dead. Those men and women instilled in me the clear sense of duty and loyalty to those you love and may one day have to leave behind for a sacred duty. That song you sang and that cine nailed it. Hello Jose, i`m 78 now, i`ve haven`t been in a war in my life, I read about it all the time wars all over the world, thanks for telling me about your experience in your life about war, it must have been the worst thing for you. I can only imagine. wars are still happening on this planet, I think man will never understand what he`s doing. by the way I was playing music for 6 months in the US with a german band. at the Alpine village in Torrance San Diego. lovely people there, it was a good experience for me as a canadian italian. the band took 4 days off to go to Las vegas for a couple of shows there, I was born in 1945, so I was about 40 years old. well now I`m still making music in my studio in montreal just for the passion of it. and thanks for listening Jose, ciao. my friend. let`s have a good life ending.
