"BUDGET" Gas Softwash System - PREDATOR 1 inch water pump
Taking a look at the predator 1 inch water pump and using it for a "budget" friendly gas soft wash system. I'm showing my experience with it and how I've got it set up to work for me. This video is for education purposes!

How many hp?
Any videos of it in action
We almost went this route! Disappointed i didnt give it s try. Ill have to revisit this soon.
How are you bypassing to keep pressure from continually building?
The pump isn’t designed to make pressure. The most it makes is 60psi
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC that’s awesome actually. I’ve now got one on my trailer. Are you still using one?
Plumbing video please 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would the 2inch pump be to much?
I’ve heard from a few people using it just fine
All I really need to know now to complete my build is what fittings are you using for the suction side and the spray side? Just a 1” pvc reducer? Really just needing to know what kind of threading adapters I’m gonna need! I can figure the hoses and stuff out just needing to know the adapters you’re running on the in and out sides! If you can boss.
Just gotta get different adapters to get down to what size you need
I’m using 1 inch female npt to 1 inch barb on inlet and outlet
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC I gotcha bud. I appreciate it, I should be able to get it from there. I’m running 1” hoses to my proportioner now anyways so should be pretty simple!
Is there a way to use less on the GPM if the pressure is adjusted?
You can’t adjust the pressure of the pump. The only way to get less flow is restriction in your lines.
Hey can I ask, is it still holding up for you?
Yes
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC seee! All these guys saying it will rust out in 2 week don’t know what they are taking about. You just flush it with water?
Well it’s aluminum so no rust. The housing might corrode eventually but they have replacement housings. No issues with this on mine however, could also run bleach neutralizer through the pump as well if you are worried about
Love the video and idea, I was gonna try this with a roller pump and found out a guy had already done so. For bypass he used 20 ft of hose and ran it back into the line before the pump with high psi check valve after the proportioner to prevent back wash. But if it’s not heating up no worries.
No issues with not having a bypass so far
Also I was considering that roller pump as well before I started messing with this idea. Saw a video on it as well but seemed like more of a hassle to get it to work compared to this
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC same setup pretty much it’s a guy on here that has a video and setup
I used the same exact machine 4 years ago... The only problem is when you let off the gun, it keeps trying to pump. If you had a way to bypass this, it would be great. I hooked up a 2-inch fire hose, too it and washed soap3d down a 7000 of house in 30 minutes. I had help with the hose. But then I hooked up a 3/4 hose and it worked better but it still had no bypass. A bypass would be ideal.
Not sure what you mean it keeps trying to pump. The pump is a centrifugal pump, it doesn’t build up more pressure the longer you are off trigger. Bypass are always ideal but I haven’t had any issues yet. I was considering moving to 3/4 hose, but was worried it would be more annoying weight wise…
Great Video. Appreciate all the info!
my biggest concern is the reliability of the pump given you’re running SH thru a “fresh water” pump
The pump is rated for pool water, as long as you flush the system you should be fine. I expect issues long term of course with corrosion but the pump is far outlasting its price to replace and the reliability of 12v systems
Got stuck washing (Chem and rinse) an entire house with a 12 volt today. VERY much considering this.
I wonder of you could powder coat the impeller for added kogevity
Worth a shot. I’d just buy a new one honestly. They are cheap enough it’s practically the same as a 12v
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC I checked. They have replacement parts for the impeller. Should be an issue if you rinse with a bit of thiosulphate
Can we please get some more videos on this ! Maybe an actual wash! This looks amazing
I will work on that
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLCIs it still working ? And how many jobs have you done with it ?
Still working and I have used it on about 35 jobs. It’s not something I need all to often in my area since it’s faster to downstream
We would like to see it in action
I believe the internals on those trash pumps are not made for bleach or any chemicals h so it won't hold up over time
They are rated for pool water. High amounts of bleach are not ideal but no issues yet. I flush every use with plenty of water
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC very interesting, for the price I'm curious how it holds up. Also no bypass makes me think it will heat up and bust
No issues with heat so far. It’s far outlasted my 12v systems and only slightly more to replace compared to those
You’re changing the game for good brother
Can you make a video how you primed it? Did you just fill hoses with water?
@@Jypze I’ll show that in plumbing video but yes just filled it up first and haven’t had to do it since
What adapters do you have to connect blue gun to Flexzilla?
I’ll be going over this in my upcoming video. What you are asking is 3/4 camlock to 1/2 npt.

Definitely waiting on this!
Quick question, did these results come after the 20hr break in period and then adjusting the throttle stop for more rpm? Thanks!!
Yes motor is broke in and throttle is turned up
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC Awesome! Thank you!
Better than anything I’ve ever seen before that costs thousands
I really dig this setup, Also the connectors at your hose and gun. I've never seen it done like that. Thanks Again for your time, and Please do an update whenever you fell is time. Also after the warranty is done, You can by a replacement pump with seals for under $100. Thanks Again Sir 👍
Oh men you just ignite a fire!!!! Coming soon!! Wait for it!!! Just like that you get what you can afford nice job 👍
Thanks for the video! I picked one up yesterday and plan on connecting it to my system this weekend to test.
9 Gallons a minute @60 PSI, with a head lift of 95 ft and an intake lift of 26 ft at 0 flow you can leave any 12v or 24v SSW superpums behind, you wil have it avaliable as long as you have gas on the tank, it will not decrease. I love your video and your setup, keep it up. I'm looking forward to your next videos.
Do you have to dump water in to prime it manually before you fire it up to draw? Or how does that work?
Only had to prime it the first time. I have a ball valve on my hose that keeps it primed when I take the gun off to store. I suppose if you leave the gun on and don’t pull the trigger to release what’s in the hose you won’t have to prime again
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC good deal. I think I’m gonna try this out just to have a little something stronger than the 12v! You’ve got it plumbed up pretty simple too!
Is that the 79cc pump?
Yes it is
How long have you been using this setup? And any idea of how many jobs you have used with it? Thanks in advance
@@30iuoenyc been using it for around 2 months. I mainly downstream but this works fine for stronger mix on concrete or a roof wash. Just made sure to flush every time I used it with plenty of water. So far no issues
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC that's exactly what I'm going to use it for. Thanks for the replies! I appreciate it 🙏🏼
Do you know how much gpm it hits with 200ft hose
9.5 gpm
This just seems too good to be true!
Except it is true! Works fine!
I've been using mine like this for 2yrs now,I clean it very well after each day and have had no problems,I highly recommend this type setup.
@@lavaproductions-zh3iv I just purchased everything half way setting it up when your rinsing the pump out with water how many gal do you use to rinse the pump good enough
@@Jypze I'll usually circulate 5-10gals through it with alittle la awesome just 1\2gal for a few minutes using a bypass valve setup then flush with freshwater.
@@lavaproductions-zh3iv oh hot damn… so 2gal la awesome with 8gal water? Then flush with straight water? Or u running straight la awesome 2gal of it then flushing with 10gal of water? Oh so you running another valve set up on proportioner strictly for that?
Crazy, I was looking at this pump, and said," wonder if on CZcams" Thank You Sir !
You’re very welcome!
No bypass?
No bypass. Check the end of the video and I go over it!
@@AdvancedSoftwashLLC sorry i asked before seeing the whole video lol
No worries!
@AdvancedSoftwashLLC have you had any leaks the AR45 leaks all the time
Just where I haven’t tightened hose clamps good other than that no
2 year harbor freight warranty! Gotta love it
Love it! Good ole American can do!
Genius idea! 👏🏼 thanks for sharing
I guess the only downside is the pump being not made for bleach but maybe it will last a while, are you doing any kind of bypass? I know on the p40 I bypass with about 30ft of 1/2 line to keep the pump cool, does the pump stay cool with how you are running it now?
I was thinking the same thing I wonder if the warranty would cover that ?
@@Hermz444they don't ask questions lol it's HF
No bypass. I go over that at the end of the video! So far no issues. I flush the pump every time I use it as well.

I have wondered about these pumps and now I have an answer. My AR45 has been a POS, leaks, cracks, sucking air, you name it. Constantly fixing it.
I'm in south Florida, been wondering why these pumps have been sold out at Harbor Freight. Lots of housewashing guys down here. Glad it's working out. Might try it myself someday. Thanks for the info. 👍
Nice!.. I like the simplicity of it. Could you do a full parts list and plumbing video as wekl? Thanks.
I will work on that soon! Might try to make a kit to see for anyone interested
Do you have video on how to plum
I can make one soon
Great video
