Has anyone had NO FACE DOWN Macullar hole repair?? If so, your thoughts on this recovery
I’ve had five since January and it’s after I get home it feels gritty all day. Only once did my entire eye become red for over a week. My doctor is great he uses numbing drops then a shot to numb. He waits five minutes and does the actual shot of medicine. He rinses my eyes several times and does all these himself. The nurse prepares the tray with all the needles and items necessary. The doctor is so kind and shakes my hand each time I come in. He is very easy to talk to and answers all my questions. I wish I didn’t need the shots but I’m grateful for a great doctor.
I’m reading this and wondering why mine didn’t hurt. She didn’t use a device to hold my eye open and I never saw a needle. Just a little pressure when the meds went in and it was over. No post procedure issues either. Tomorrow is my second one so we will see if it was a fluke but it did help. There definitely is an improvement.
Anyway to stop delayed and progressive solar retinopathy? I think have that.
I can't stand anything going towards my eyes...i cringe when they dilute my eyes.
Is it possible electrostimulation improve the vision or stem cells?
Well done Dr. Fish!!
Thanks for your help!
Hello sir
Western medication forever can't effectively treat retinal artery occlusion and reverse it. Only God's mercy nano-medication that's based on God created man out of an extract of clay from ground should be the last-ditch treatment for retinal artery occlusion and/or retinal vein occlusion. If central pontine hemorrhagic stroke can be cured, retinal artery occlusion is small medical problem.
Hey guys! In Oslo Ulleval hospital after Retinal detachment they say you dont need any face down the next day after surgery. It is a standard advice to all. Who is clever here Norway or the rest of the world?
I had this done once, one of the side effects is that it can cause blood clots leading to a heart attack or stroke, I ended up with a heart attack caused by a blood clot
I am actually getting my procedure done on Monday morning. My vision in my right eye has improved little by little but certain colors are still a little crazy for me to look at when I do a self vision test. Im just glad that the worst part of it is finally over which is the initial pain I had in my right eye after it happened. It wasn't like a stabbing pain but more of a pressure pain and it was maddening to live like that. Its been a little over a month now and I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
I hope your procedure went well? Was it cold laser? Are you in the US? I'm in the UK and they are telling me there's a global shortage of visudyne. They said the US had pre-ordered the first two years worth of supply, so I guess the US must have access to it now. Which hopefully means they can treat me in a few years time.
@@didibergman2306 I’m assuming it was cold laser. I didn’t need to get the IV prep they just numbed my eye really good and dilated my pupil. It was about a 15-20 minute process and I don’t have any restrictions. I was able to drive one the dilation drops wore off.
@@dolphingirl2009 That's wonderful, hope your eye stays CSR free and pain free!
@@didibergman2306 oh me too! I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. It’s a long road to recovery now but I’ll be glad when I’m back to 100% clear vision again
I been having this about 2 years now .. every 6 months my eye dr tells me it’s gonna go away on its own .. but it never does
It's works I did for three years thank you wye doctors for what y'all do!
Injections are used to treat this. Every patient responds differently but there is a treaty

Can anyone explain why there is a global shortage of Visudyne? My CSR can't be treated because of the shortage and my distortion is getting bad. Internet says if left untreated it WILL lead to permanent vision loss. They gave me anti-vegf injections for 4 years and they always helped with the metamorphopsia, (they thought I had wet MD) now they say it's CSR (after an angiogram) they say the injections won't work, but I understand that the injections ARE used to reduce the fluid in CSR so I feel like I'm being gaslit. They always asked if I thought the injections were working and I always said yes. If I didn't think they were working I wouldn't have subjected myself to them!
I have this disease, but it has left scars in my ratina. How can we treat it.
My dad went through 2 yrs of painful injections to supposedly help his macular degeneration - Avastin only left him with permanent scarring.. which the scareing from reaction to Avastin ledt my dad blind …. Now what can we do??
My dad went through 2 yrs of painful injections to supposedly help his macular degeneration - Avastin only left him with permanent scarring
Morning of injection….No COFFEE. Then I take 2 Benadryls. Nice and relaxed. “Piece of cake”.
The truth is, once you get eye problems, your going to suffer horribly, and you will lose your vision anyway . It happened to me. Started with cataract surgery. That started it all. I hate to tell you this, but the truth is, life is a hideous thing . Dont have kids. Its not anywhere near worth it.
Poor or seriously disabled people should never have kids. I have realized human is full of miserable especially when you are poor. No kids my choice. I spent money on myself and stray cats.
I see there is a way to recover from uveitis using natural herbs from Eastern medicine without needing to be treated with Western medicine
Incredible! Love to see this. I'm starting a career in health care and I love to watch motor racing. To see a MD live both is such an inspiration. You rock!
And what happens if the doctor made a mistake and asked you to posture in the wrong side. Example if you have to position to the right cheek and the doctor asked to position to the left?
I was schedule for three injections in Texas, the first injection was scary but I got something called "becurious", not sure if its spell correctly, its a eye injection that goes behind the eye nerve to numb the eye, then there is another way to numb the eye with only eye drops, On my third injection the assistance did not do the "bicurious" injection she only apply eye drops twice wait afew minute to numb my eyes but this one I felt the the needle and it hurt a bi I didn't like it. Which one do you recommend to use because these numb procedures are not clearly explained to patients steps are not clear
The cost of the treatment is where the real pain is.
A mi me dijeron que este una semana nada más , cuánto es el tiempo normal ?
Excellent Sir
I checked the pricing on rentals. In 2024, you can get a chair, a pillow for your bed, and a table top support unit for $500 for two weeks. My insurance co-pay is only $100, but I have to prepay the $500 and wait for reimbursement. I need three surgeries on each eye (epiretinal membrane disease, macular hole, and retinal detachment), and later cataract surgery. I'm wondering if they can do all three surgeries at one time or if I'll have to do each of them separately. My concern is how soon can one drive after surgery? I heard about 6 weeks. Rather difficult when you live alone. Right now I have a 6 month reprieve when he'll check it again to see if it is progressing. My feeling is that I will have to have it done sooner or later. Let's just get it over with. Was also told that there is no guarantee that my vision will be better either.
What post operative position for after the oil has been removed from the eye
I see some questions in the comments that definitely need to be addressed by your doctor not random people on the internet.
Just checking, is there anyone here who plays video games especially shooting games on mobile screens for long time. I am suspecting this to be one of the reason because it has stress and also concentrating on a small screen. Update: The CSR had gone by itself last week, that is maybe 3 months from the approx onset.
i was diagnosed with csr last week, and i played a lot of shooting games on my iphone, i have now stopped playing those kinds of eye strenuous games, will try to modify to a healthier eye lifestyle
I have it. It doesn't affect my vision profoundly, but I do see squiggly lines and size distortions from time to time. There is a laser that is supposed to be wonderful and easy/safe called MicroPulse - I think it's yellow laser. BUT IT'S DIFFICULT TO FIND! I have had some success with 25 mg twice a day of eplerenone with no side effects and some docs prescribe spirolactone. Will likely add melatonin 3 mg twice a day soon too
Do epiretinal membrane causes a small clear blind spot in the visual field?
1:48 I'd call this the study hall position 😸
Muchas gracias por tan buena información. Me hicieron esa operación hace 4 días. Este video me ayudó mucho 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
My mother's 90, has glaucoma in one eye and macula degeneration in the other. Will this work for her?
I got this disease 20 years ago. I am a female. At the time I was about 48 years old and in perfect health. I got the disease in both eyes. In my left eye I see a large gray circle right in my central vision. In my right eye the gray area is off to the side. If you have this disease, once the fluid stops leaking, it leaves a permanent scar messing up your vision. Because the scar in my left eye is in my central vision, I see darker with that eye. I was told there was nothing that could be done about it. I have never had anything for it. I just live with the scars.
I didn't get the betadine. I think the antibacterial was part of the numbing agent. No problem after my first injection although I was glad to have my wife drive the forty minutes home since keeping the eye closed was a relief. I was amazed that my vision improved within 24 hours. This was for retinal vein occlusion.
Can your clinic do a retina transplant so I can see again?
Sir i am from india ... I need your help 😭 My father has RP from their childhood... In 2012 they are getting low vision... But now they are totally blind... I have Mac tel 2 and getting worse despite eating healthy. Are there any new treatments?
No pain from start to finish? Well not for me! I tell the dr that i feel the needle going in and her answer is that I'm suppose to feel "pressure". Well its a lot more than pressure and also i feel pain when she puts in the thingy thats suppose to keep your eye lid open.. Im sore for hrs afterwards. I had my 2nd shot today and Im not going back. They dont listen when i say it hurts me.
What is cost for surgery?
Thanks so much for the very informative video. So many questions, me as a spouse, I didn't ask during post-op.
im getting eye injections 5 in row the last time was febuary 9 2024. i got the subconjunctival hemorrhage on the last injection, then after 5 days i notice white bump on the white part of my eye where the hemorrhage is located about half the size of a rice's grain. the hemorrhage is almost gone now but the white bump still remains. does anybody know what this white bump is? i think this is the exact location where i got the injection. there is no pain or anything, it is just sticking out like rice's grain half the size white color.
I had a laser threapy 5 years ago , the blured vision and abnormal shapes still there .the laser therapy was done a year after its occurance . Are there any hopes that it can go away and I can get my vision back normal again ?
pero dijo que no deben leer porque sus ojos se mueven y al final dice que puede ver la tableta o laptop para ver películas y también se mueven los ojos o talvez se forza mas la vista leyendo 🤔
The laser zapping treatment they had in the past actually worked. It was a one time treatment. Why did they switch to this pharma based treatment that you then need to do over and over? It makes no sense.
