I had the privilege of listening to Christy Moore live when he came to our school to play some songs for us. I had never heard of Christy and the session was after school and optional so I decided not to listen in. However. as I was getting ready to leave I heard his voice from outside the classroom and was moved to step in at the back of the room. I was as mesmerised then as I am now by his voice. A beautiful singer with great heart. He played his heart out that day for us and thankfully he still is.

my girlfriend Rachel Hardin's mom is a McElwee, I grew up here in Northeast Texas with McElwees
Whereabouts in NETX?
@@colten4172 in Bowie County, far northeast area against Arkansas line. New Boston and Simms Community had many McElwee folk that I knew growing up. The older generations are all gone now but those here, the old timers, had brothers that went west and a couple that went back to Missouri I am told sometime after their father died here in 1905
