challengers are suffering. they used to be really solid tanks with 20 ap 20 armour but now they just feel terrible to use. the chieftains are still nice tho

I disagree that a lot of your top rated divs have everything, like, 3rd in particular has some big flagrant downsides that you slam lower tier divisions for also having, I think we're all just used to working around them and we forget they're there. 11th Cav is strong but it has probably the worst infantry tab in the game and a lot of people called it F-tier and unplayable because of that when it was released. I think 101st is very misunderstood, you are correct that its infantry is not cost-efficient if thrown into infantry combat by itself but you have to make up for the lack of cost-efficiency by using their helo transport capabilities to your advantage, which most players are refusing to try to do. We weren't given an air assault division so you could spam infantry in humvees with no fire support, you have to actually use their helos. Taking infantry in sellable transports only, when the other transports you can take are actually important to how the div is supposed to work, is a common thread here, like all the divs with BMP-1s usually get rated down because players avoid using them when they shouldn't, 4th only gets ranked so highly here because of its FsJ. IFV infantry sucks if you don't take any IFVs, but that's not the division's fault. Another common thread in most of your decks here is maxing out infantry, tanks, and planes and cutting every other tab down to the 1-point slots...that works okay with some divisions but especially with Redfor divs that are more dependent on their artillery and AA tabs, they are not going to function properly if you do that. Very apparent with your BG deck that's what's happened, you have to adjust your playstyle to the div more to give them a fair shot.

I don't think BG is actually bad, they have a different playstyle from most divisions, but their infantry is good and they have a huge artillery tab. They don't get heavy armor but if you use tanks for infantry support like this they can clean up. I think getting the best use out of them comes down to providing lots of fire support to your infantry, but I think that often gets neglected. If you don't use artillery for infantry support, don't mix cheap tanks and infantry, and take your infantry in trucks instead of supporting them with BTRs with heavy MGs, your infantry is not going to trade as well as it should. Especially if you're using KDA which are high HP/low damage punching bags, you need something else to do damage for them while they absorb hits.

I would say… this isn’t new, people won‘t ever be happy, people nag about DCS community, people nag about LSPDFR (GTA 5 modding) community and people nag about WARNO community, just do what is best. As a member of all 3 communities and quite deep in at-least DCS and LSPDFR (GTA 5 Modding) and FiveM I can tell you that.

I get the impression that a toxic, constantly dissatisfied community is a general problem of RTS, competitive games. Just look at Company of Heroes. I don't know what could be the reason for this, maybe people who play this type of games consider themselves to be superior beings. I started playing Warno about a week ago and I'm having a great time, although this is partly thanks to my friends who play with me. I've played SD44 and SD2 before, but without much success. I gave up on Red Dragon. I'm having a lot more fun in Warno than in SD, even though, as someone interested in World War II, I much prefer this setting. I wish Warno the best, I'm having a great time, I hope it will develop in the right direction. Best regards, your random noob.

I’m a newer player to Warno. The game runs beautifully, the camera work is great, anything I want to know is presented to me in-game, and the controls work great. My timing sucks, my battlefield awareness is so-so, my hotkey remembrance needs work, and my strategies are still developing. I’m no bueno right now but it’s still fun. I gladly learn from my losses and celebrate my wins.

RANGROO is literally right about WRD pros NOT transfering into WARNO, PRO_KOMMIE is the great example how WORSE players going to WARNO. Competetive scene getting destroyed in WARNO due to developers being lazy and indifferent towards it, and community "heads" being indifferent how good players actually getting banned when they crituque the game too much, except of ST lickers, of course. And it is exactly someone like me or RANGROO are actually who can tell that, since RANGROO literally saw WHOLE history of competetive scene both SD2 and WRD. And I might not totally stick to idea that WRD PROs are better, first of all it is their communities where they raised are better. Like mine where I just transfered experience to Jess1e (We won the most prize money tournament with him) and HOMELANDER being close to us. So that question actually sticks to game being able to attract good players who develop good players around them and while competing - meta is improving, but in case of WARNO it can`t attract anyone but less picky players who seek competition. And moreover, community just getting dumb, and community "heads" are focused either on silence either on just getting money from content making while not critique too much while being in ST so they just remain in that state.

One of the most bizarre elements of the Rangroo Rant was that it effectively argued the community can never attract new players - every decision must make a cabal of Wargame players happy. Also a frankly entitled understanding of software development where pre-release titles must somehow be perfectly polished, depsite constant changes. Many in the community are not mature enough to handle early access games. People screaming at me that "if you paid for it, it's finished", the game is a scam, "army general will never be released".

Productiv critics are great. But the keyword is productiv. So I absolut share your opinion. I played all Wargame title but skipped SD. But warno is absolut "beautyful" even with thouse tiny flaws. Thx for sharing your opinion
