A few random thoughts and some background on what helped me get into Stanford's MBA program. First video's a little rough but I promise to get more specific and tactical in the next ones :)
It was such a helpful video!! I’m hoping to apply next year and that will definitely help me! <3
Great video. Thanks for sharing. The 36 page brainstorm doc was a great mental model. I am just curious. How often do you update that? I know it’s a very personal question so fine if you don’t want to answer. My use case to watch this video was I was preparing to write an essay for the Stanford LEAD business program and I was wondering if my old grad school essay is something I can still leverage. It was not a 36 page doc for me but still the essay was a good summary of me as a person.
Actually good information which is needed to everyone need to start before start writing art of your personal story
Hi Pooja, Thanks for sharing such an insightful video! I'm a recent BTech graduate with a strong interest in product management. After graduation, I took some time for self-reflection and discovered a passion for building user-centric products that drive user satisfaction. I'm also hoping to pursue an MBA at Stanford GSB in the future to further develop my skills. I'd love to connect with you to learn more about potential internship opportunities at your company.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for this absolute gem. Will be applying to BSchool soon so this is exactly the type of actionable I need to help me on the journey. Pls would love to see more content like this ❤
Loved the process, thanks a lot for sharing!
Definitely one of the most valuable (if not the most) videos to go through the process. Thanks a lot for sharing this, Pooja! The process seems a little less daunting now haha
Hi Pooja! This was great. I was quite intrigued how well you interlinked your personal and professional life in your essays. Question for you- Do you feel the Lauder Dual Degree Progam with a focus on South Asia will be helpful for a student from India? As I am largely aware about most of the nuances this region brings to the table.
Great essays are also stories. Captivating! Awesome video, quite insightful as well as entertaining. I'm applying for another program of theirs, an executive training program, but need to have a few essays as well. This helps a lot, thanks!
Glad to hear that it's helping you with your journey! Good luck with applications!
Are you Indian???
Can’t you guess with the name?
I am first generation Indian ☺️
Best essay I have read (heard) in years!
Thank you! 🙏
Amazing! Wondering if you shared after getting admitted or afterwards. Thanks for sharing Pooja!!!
Only a neurodivergent can pull off stuff like this. You go girl!
great essay. well done in dealing with what would have been a weakness in the portfolio (technical side of AI),. it is a little like Sony's market strategy.
Btw, it’s Bah-mah-koe like toe or row, not cow!
Whoops! Thanks for pointing out the correction!
Hey mam , why don't you give any update
I am in awe of your straight from the heart experience on all adventures you have experienced. Each one tells a story, not just of your growth but how you weaved people, efforts and your learnings too pitch to the next meaningful step in life. Your response to "Why the Farm" had a crips pathway of who you are, what you want to learn and where you want to lead. Exceptional read indeed. I look forward to you catapult to be he transformative force for any initiative you take up. Good Luck Pooja and thank you on being you!
I love you
OMG I love your energy. I haven't even got to the middle part of the video and I just wanted to comment this. Seriously love your energy! You are so bubbly and positive :)
Such a genuine one! more progress to you
Thank you!
How did you afford to pay for the tuition? The student loan only provides $20,500 every two semesters which is ~30k per year.
A longer video but students get scholarships from school, finance it with loans and have savings. You can also work while in the program but you are expected to be a full-time student.
You didn't answer why Stanford, you just kept talking about your experience
Thank you!
Is that very compulsory to have one year or more years of experience to get into mba program in ivy colleges or can get in by internship experience of months
I think this depends on the country. In the US, MBAs typically have at least two years of work experience, likely more. You can get into 2+2 MBA programs where you get a future spot in a MBA program right out of college, with no full-time work experience at the time you apply.
For being so genuine, I have nothing but respect for you.
Is it possible to get into stanford if i graduated from not so famous big college but got very high grades and if i excel in my other aspects?
Yes
Anything is possible and it all depends! I was told applications are evaluated holistically when I applied. So anything is possible it just depends on your individual story.
Hi Pooja, just during the 13 minutes watching your video, I strongly believe you are not only a smart and curious leaner, but also a convincing and inspiring communicator by nature. Also I resonated so much with you as a business student, former consultant and female. Excited to see your again in your next video!
Enjoyed your video
Hey Pooja, I am facing a bit of difficulty in writing my Warton Esaay, can I seek for help?
Hi! I just opened office hours on my About description. You can book via LinkedIn or Calendly. Happy to chat!
Awesome thank you
Wow I loved this essay, I am inspired. The essay was so interesting that you were literally able to recite it in a video and it felt like a conversation and not a paper. I am going to write something this lively. Cant express how inspirational this was.
Love this video very much! Congratulations! :) PERU! I'm originally from there! Happy you had a blast there! :)
Self investment is the best choice you have taken upon yourself. I just love how you had like 5 classes from tennis class, to language class. You're a great motivation and gem of a person, Keep learning!
Phenomenal essay. You did so many activities in a short amount of time span. I love it. I love the intensity you broadcast. !

STANDING OVATION 👏🏽
Hii mam, I'm a student currently pursuing my second bachelors in a humanities. I'm also planning to do an MBA from top 10 US b.schools. But I wonder my low GPA in 1st undergrad might hurt my chances. So can I just hide my 1st degree and only mention 2nd undergrad in my mba application. Is it safe to hide certain educational information from the admission committee & what can happen if committee find it after I get an admitted. I know it's bit amature but still shouldn't it be on me to put my best on the table
Honestly this is one of the most perfect and smoothly connected set of essays I have ever had the pleasure of listening to and understanding. Everything was so smooth and interconnected that it felt like a clear stream of fresh water flowing down a river, truly a piece of art. Excellent job at writing these essays Pooja! Hope to see you achieve everything you have mentioned in your 3rd essay and wishing you a successful life ahead!
Very nice
