What are Bertucci Field Watches?
Bertucci Field Watches are some of the best budget field watches for EDC. They can be under $100 and are what a lot of people say are the most affordable watch they would buy in that price range.
I cover what Bertucci watches are. What features you can get at different price points, and what I'd recommend instead of a Bertucci Field Watch.

zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed měsícem
The Bark River Knives Grind-In is an event that is hosted twice a year and allows Bark River Collectors to come and help build their own knives. At the Grind-In you can walk your knife through each step and help either hands-on, or make decisions to affect how your knife turns out. I break down each step of the process in this video to help you know what the Bark River Knives Grind-In is, what ...
What gear was useful after a Tornado?
zhlédnutí 5Před 2 měsíci
the county I lived in was recently hit by a tornado. In this video I explain what items from my car kit and what gear from my EDC was actually useful. I mostly focus on what EDC items I didn't have that I wish I did.
Benchmade Lifesharp Review
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed rokem
Reviewing the Benchmade Lifesharp Program. This is a free service by Benchmade where they will take your knife, and bring it back to a factory edge. I had this done to my Benchmade Saddle Mountain Skinner from the Benchmade Hunt Series. I was impressed with the Lifesharp Warranty but cover some of what they didn't repair as well. Good review. I also do a lot of hiking. Usually I wear my Marathon. However it is a fairly expensive watch. I always keep an eye on Bertucci because I think they are great field watches. The only reason that I have never pulled the trigger on one of their models, I don't care for single pass or Nato straps.

Here to circumvent censorship to say water quenching and cooling air hardening steels, that are extremely sensitive to such, will have you with a steel at acts like a downgrade from what you’d expect. They have no desire to change and they censor everyone who speaks up. 0 tolerance for that. “This is just how we do things” would work but they don’t even comment. Shameful. I wish I could like them. Truly.

Did you see anybody utilizing a flat grind instead of a convex edge on any of their knives by chance? I've always thought a flat ground bark River option would be cool

Don't hold me to this, but I think someone did. I saw a flat grind Bark River but I'm not sure if they did that at the Grind-In or had someone else do it and just brought it along.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I live in Australia but would definitely try to go there if i ever went to America. One question, was it a big difference in price for different blanks, eg size and type of steel?

    • @spectre-edc
      @spectre-edc Před 29 dny

@mick1turner The price actually doesn't change based on blanks, steel, etc. So if you wanted a small little EDC knife in CPM154 or a bigger model in Magnacut, the price is the same. It is just random what blanks they have. So if you ever get a chance to come over to the USA and go to the event, you have to just see what blanks they have when you show up.

I had a warranty ticket plus sharpening and I got it back in 13 days after shipping it out. Their prices are stupid but the warranty is at least very good.

Per dollar you can find higher quality out there. But I think if someone isn't super into knives and will just end up buying something at Cabela's or REI, at least they have the warranty and it will be a decent knife.

I’m at 3 weeks now but I don’t mind. I hear ppl saying blade replacement cost $90 but I just got mine replaced just now for $50 plus tax for a mini griptilian tanto. And yours is a fixed blade and still not $90 so I’m not sure what’s up with all the stories of blade replacement cost. Basically getting a brand new knife for $50. I think it’s definitely worth it. I used the heck out of that knife. Even if I threw the knife out I got more than my money worth. Benchmade has awesome customer service and I don’t mind paying a little more for it. Great video!
