G4 = G5 Fluttershy = Misty (though Hitch has her talking to animals thing) Rarity = Pipp Rainbow Dash = Zipp Twilight = Sunny Pinkie Pie = Izzy Applejack = Hitch They just copy and pasted G4 and edited it slightly. Basically 99% of social media creators on earth

So not only did G5 make Spike REALLY UGLY....they also totally disrespected the episode in G4 where Spike competes to be the Dragon Lord (only to protect his friends because the other dragons were planning to destroy Equestria) and he helped Princess Ember through the Gauntlet challenge and gave EMBER the honor of being the Dragon Lord and gained Equestria a new friend and a powerful new ally in Princess Ember....soo....why rip that beautiful story to shreds and give us THIS? Spike was the Ambassador of Friendship. So shouldn't he be a BIT more shocked and upset that thousands of years have passed, his friends are all gone and everything he and his friends worked to create in the name of friendship has now been completely destroyed and replaced with THIS?

I refuse to believe they are the real spike and twilight twilight is an amazing leader and as a lot of knowledge and spike is her helper and sometimes also calms the other's down he also maded an allie with the dragons and the ponys these two on the other hand are absolutely stupid like lets be fr rn heck I thought dragons can't hydrant so why is he hydrating

I haven't actually seen this movie or show...just bits of it that I see when watching critiques of it....and already I can say with absolute confidence that Friendship is Magic is a far better show. It had well defined characters, creative story arcs, excellent villains who were ACTUALLY VILLAINS and didn't sugar coat and water down everything to the point of it being baby food. The animation was gorgeous. The themes and lessons were wholesome and good. Its like the creators of G5 said "Let's take EVERYTHING I just listed that was GOOD about G4 and do the exact opposite. And not only do they insult Princess Twilight's character by forcing her to be in this literal shit show, they are COPYING the story ideas from G4 too...they already did switching up the Cutie Marks or taking them away a good 3 or 4 times and their ways were MUCH more creative and taught a good lesson to the kids. Watching this, by comparison, feels like I am eating cotton candy. Its sweet for a second and then disappears.

Well this gen sadly didn't reach his potential, I was a brony when I was 10 years old, stopped watching at season 5 because I got bored with the show. Now I'm 22 years old, I wanted to revisit FIM because of nostalgia, then I got surprised that the show ended and a new generation was running, so I decided to take a look at this new gen and well... I enjoyed the movie, it was ok, a pretty good start , then I decided to watch the special and well... I was... "This absolutely sucks" I couldn't bring myself to watch the six chapters and the TYT series. So to save time, I was looking for recaps of the series and found your channel I watched all your reviews (I was cringing with the history of the chapters but your editing skills keep my watching videos they are so good lol) and I was disappointed how this gen destroyed G4 lore. This franchise turned into another generic kids show, maybe Hasbro wants it to be that way. So yeah that's my thoughts, I wouldn't be surprised if this show get cancelled at some point. Sorry if my English is bad, I'm a Spanish speaker.

MLP gen 4 was also made for children and it respected children enough to provide a quality story which children can watch together with a family (Lauren Faust intentionally predicted that some moms may join their daughters to watch the show together, and even the boys whose sisters watch the show would be also able to enjoy the show, want it or not).

There were two ways that G5 could have gone that would have worked well and it did neither: a) Serve as a continuation of G4 following Luster Dawn or the descendants of the Mane 6 and maintain flowing continuity with FIM b) Serve as a full reboot of MLP that utilized the charm and magic of G4 to tell another compelling MLP story that used the components of what made G4 successful and ignored the components that made G1-3 unsuccessful Instead, we got: c) Tie itself to G4 purely for marketing purposes while ignoring the lore and continuity of G4

MLP so desperately needs a break. Mlp blew up unlike it had ever done before in 2011-2013 when the brony fandom was at its peak. Hasbro and others saw something they could milk to death and my little pony went on way longer than it ever needed to. IMO after season 5 of g4 it started to go downhill real fast. Not even a year after g4 ended g5 was already in the works. I understand why they went this direction, but I have little to no interest in g5 whatsoever, it’s exactly what I expected it to be, I highly doubt g5 is going to get any better anytime soon, but the little to no structure g5 has is still baffling to me. This is a classic example of hanging onto something for way too long, great video btw!

I like the idea of it but if it just was made later to be one of the last episodes The series has just started and its already rewind time

I do think pipp was better in the movie, but you are dead wrong, she’s cheerful and bright, and cute, and a good influencer unlike real influencers, the movie was better than make your mark.

The mlp fandom died by a 100 cuts. They abandon fantasy story telling for fuckin cupcakes n friendship bracelets. All the show needs is better animation, some seriousness, and a sprinkle of existentialism.

Sometimes i feel like G5 is just G4 but someone inserted their oc into it and gave it way to much extra lore that doesn’t fit with the original plot.

I was really excited about that first shot from the trailer for this movie. Oh yeah, that was the photo of Sunny where we first saw her. And apparently I was under the impression that this was a cartoon/film/series about how ponies live in a world similar to that of humans, in cozy homes. And I was very happy because I was waiting for a comfortable atmospheric series/film about ponies who lived in houses similar to human ones, live in the city, etc.Yes, it really is there. I mean they use phones, dollars, and human utensils, etc. BUT THIS IS NOT IT. WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR. in fact, it was possible to create a series about how a pony prepares a pie using modern devices and utensils in 3D; it would be better and more comfortable than these strange adventures. They could have created something completely different, something similar to the Peppa Pig format where there is no action but only a comfortable atmosphere, because their idea to create a very realistic human world with ponies was good, They could have dedicated it entirely to just hanging out in their world and immersing us in their sweet world.

For whatever reason, I thought friendship games 3rd act ripped off Undertale's true pacifist ending Even though it's basically impossible to fully write, storyboard, animate, compose, and voice act an entire film within 2 days of these two releasing.

And actually, G5 Equestria Girls could be a great concept, because G4 EG was left inconclusive

I think Hasbro could actually resolve the problem with the rights for G4 and use G5's full potential as the successor to G4. Like explore what happened to old Equestria and old characters, and give more locations. And, if G6 will also happen in the same universe, it could be cool if it was about Celestia and Luna backstory

They wanna connect it to G4 so desperately but Also wanna ignore that in G4 Alicorns were made not born untill Flurry Heart.

It’s pretty weird how Sunset randomly grew wings from the fight even though she didn’t have them during the Rainbow Rocks movie. Hopefully soon we get to see a movie that will have Rarity in her wings.
