Ich habe 1980 meinen Dienst geleistet. Auf Nato-Übungen wurde oft mit den US Kammeraden getauscht. Dadurch gab es für beide Abwechselung. Aber jeder hat auch unterschiedlichen Geschmack. Aber das Wichtigste ist das es entsprechende Energie gibt. Es ist keine Sterneküche. Ich habe noch immer die Erinnerung an den Früchtereis, der kalt genießbar war. Sonst war es besser als hungern. sind den Heutigen MRE ist wohl das Problem, das gerade die Wassermengen zur Zubereitung nicht gut ab messbar sind. Es gab auch damals die barmten Hartkekse, und zusätzlich gab es Brote, die verpackt waren, erst über Stunden Luftfeuchtigkeit auf nehmen mussten um sie genießen zu können. Aber auch bei der Standard Verpflegung die es täglich gibt gehen die Meinungen aus ein Ander. Bei uns in Achim war die Verpflegung jedenfalls exzellent. Was meinen Geschmack betrifft.

My barracks doors locked, and were not made with any glass, so there was no way past them without a torch (and they were raised up on a 4 stair, so no vehicle has a chance). Also, using private cellphones to conduct official calls to/from the armory is not going to be reimbursed, so there's no way I'm putting mine on the line... plus I'm not publishing my own personal phone number - it better belong to the state if it's gonna be mobile. And lastly, if you aren't anticipating/expecting an RA SSG showing up at your armory, you are probably under investigation by a CID W3... just saying.
