I was formally channel "taumarunui05" but due to copyright issues account was taken down. I Love anything New Zealand and Maori Culture related. So that will be what my channel is about mainly.

Beautiful Rendition of this waists. Can anyone tell me who performed this at Te Matatini many, many years ago. I’m thinking Waihirere. Hope you enjoy our songs.

Growing up bk in the 60s & 70s, our dad used to invite the whole bldy street over hm for a party, it was a common practice bk in the day. He got me & my siblings, 5 bro & 4 sisters, to sing the maori verse & he was the only one allowed to sing the pakeha verse to our mother. The funny thing is, it was our dad who ended up crying after the song
Meke kaupapa. Ko te whare kaha Nō ngā tangata katoa e mahi Ana. Tino mīharo te whakaaro ō Rob Ruha. Nga mihi e te Rangatira.
Fabulous fabulous best I’ve ever heard and this version by the original simply beautiful kia kaha my people
Normal hori maori conversation: Hemi - "Chur the budda, upto ma cuz? Toko - "Nah fk all ma cuzzy, just having a jam on the missus" Hemi - "G is dat us? Keen on a young stoney?" Toko - "eah hardout, im keen maaa geeeee"
❤
❤️❤️❤️
Such a beautiful song. Love from China❤
If you move to NZ it’s your job to assimilate yourself and learn how we do things. It’s not our job to cater to you because it’s our country, our language and our way of life.
1:02 She's talking about being understood and it sounds like she said 'loving in an English-speaking environment'
I sure hope I won't get awkward looks in New Zealand after failing to understand their speech two times in a row
Reat in love Taini and Aunty Tūī..... Te korokoro waitī
Aunty Tuis voice though
Where’s the next song after this with him and missy
Sounds a bit like heavy British or Australian
Fabulous Thank you❤😊
This is such a happy and feel-good song! What does the lyrics mean when translated to English?
You are like a flower plucked To be kept close to my breast, oh darling. You are the beloved one I have long desired Desired through all my days! My care will be for you to keep you from being spoilt by the world. May you stick close to me always a lovely flower that has been plucked! Why do people keep insisting that love comes and goes? You are the beloved I sought by night And by day, always! Oh that your thoughts may be true, Not spoilt by the world! May you stay close to me always, A pretty flower That's been plucked!
❤❤❤
Absolutely no problem understanding that as an englishman
"i've given up on the general public" ----says the man in the suit
here cause i think billy butcher from the boys is supposed to sound like this
Aroha ♥️🤍🖤 I listen to this Waiata most mornings. It sets me up for the day. 🙏🏽
Greetings from netherlands..i wishes to be Mauori..
Unfortunately this 2024 Coalition govt has set about removing any and all traces of the indigenous Māori culture by reinterpreting the Treaty of Waitangi - an agreement between Māori & the Crown - WITHOUT MĀORI INPUT. The uniqueness of our Māori culture sets Aotearoa NZ apart from the world. We would merely be another European outcrop without MĀORI.
Love this song

Kiwi's take it easy on the tourists......... they don't get us!.........heheh🤣
Don't speak slowly like a moron. Open your mouths and stop talking through closed teeth. Practice the actors Ooh Ahh exercises. And "How now brown cow" should be a natural for kiwi's. And the scots woman shows where the Kiwi accent comes from.
I'll go to wherever he be just to hear him sing
