Julle in Argentinië Moet die mooi stuk Suid-Afrika- afkoms aanhou vashou. Daar's Christelike en kultuurerfenis by. Ek was laasjaar Diep geraak toe die Voetspore-span deur Argentinië gereis het en by gewese Suid-Afrikaners gekuier het.
Ek is in Nederland gebore, in Suid-Afrika opgegroeid en ingewortel. Tog met 'n soort heimwee Na my geboorteland.
Alleen leuker.
very few people know that Afrikaans is derived from Dutch, before 1912 they only spoke Hoog Hollands in South Africa,, In Belgium they speak Vlaams which is basically Afrikaans, from 1652 thousands of Dutch people moved to South Africa, so many German words sound the same as in Afrikaans but have a different meaning, or is spelt different, Afrikaans have so many different countries words in it,
I am not Dutch or Afrikaner. But I tried to teach myself Afrikaans some time ago. So I get the gist of what Casper is saying. I just have to combine my own language (Norwegian) with Dutch and German and I end up with somehow an understanding of what he is talking about.
@@Ama-hi5kn thats good to hear, i again battled to learn German as being both English and able to speak Afrikaans as I am from South Africa and Afrikaans is the main language spoken by white people in the country, as when I didn't know the right German word I tried to use a Afrikaans word in between, lol, as many Afrikaans words sound the same in German but have a different meaning in German or vice versa, I was 59 when I started learning German and I think its the reason why
My father is of Irish stock & mother from French Hugenot stock (her father spoke French to his mother) I was born in Rhodesia(was British Protectorate - no Afrikaans) Came to SA (The Union then) learnt Afrikaans at 10 years old in my Std 3 class...end of the year Headmaster had my sister (Std 5) & me out in front of whole school - called us his Irish roses "wat die taal so PUIK praat" (embarrassment 😨) I just want to say am SO proud of boer blood in veins - Afrikaans is an extremely EXPRESSIVE language ... Laurika Rauch's songs just amplify that totally...David Kramer too...
