Von Kaiser may have such an easy fight but his character is one of the best

I found Soda to be the 4th most difficult fight in NES punchout. The only fights that had me replaying for hours were him, Mr. Sandman, Macho Man and ofc Mike Tyson.

Really, really cool list! I was surprised to see title defense Great Tiger only at number 34. For me personally, when I had reached that point in the game, he felt significantly harder to me than anything that came before. Probably I think the first time I got a bit stuck at the game. Also, I love how powerful Doc Louis is. He's a bit out of shape, past his prime and everything, and yet, he gives Little Mac more trouble than many of the active fighters. Really makes you think that Doc Louis in his prime could have very likely been a contender for the title himself!

Super Punch-Out!! SNES is the only Punch-Out!! game that I can actually do amazing at. It’s by far the most difficult game in the series, and in my opinion that makes it really fun. The return of a lot of arcade characters is cool as well. Here’s a little fact: The taunts of Mike Tyson from Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! and Piston Hurricane from Super Punch-Out!! SNES are actually the same and Piston Hurricane’s is a cameo to Tyson? Always thought that was awesome.

With Aryan Ryan SNES when he tries to do grab move you can super punch to gut for an infinite loop. He will just start the grab move over and over if you keep using super punch to the gut. It’s a fast way to put him down. Just thought I’d say something since you said your way was the only way to deal with it

In NES Von Kaiser when he drops to the ground to do his uppercut just punch him in the gut as soon as he drops it’s automatic star. I do it three times let him throw his punch jab him then throw a star. Easier than Glass Joe

Oddly, I've never had much trouble with TD Soda Popinski, yet I have always gotten destroyed by TD Bald Bull, and especially TD Great Tiger, with his special attack.

Can't believe that you only have 885 subs considering how engaging this video is, since it had my attention the whole way through. I guess a major part of it is that I'm a big Punch Out fan, but seriously the video is really well thought out. I wish there was a way to beat Mr. Sandman on the arcade version consistently, but there really isn't. I thought I was doing something wrong for Mr. Sandman but really it was just the engine

Great video. Having completed all the console Punch Out games, I found title defense Sandman to be harder than Tyson. I was really struggling with that fight, even with the head gear. I could tell it would take me a while. Tyson took me about 7 hours to beat legit, recently. Legit meaning I had to beat Macho Man first, then Tyson, since the game never gives you the tyson password, atleast while youre progressing through.

I've been a punch out fan for like a decade now and I've NEVER seen the "intended" way of beating TD sandman

You said NES Von Kaiser isn't as easy to get stars on, but on his head-jiggle jab, you can get a star on each of them by interrupting it with a left hook. You need to do it pretty late in the animation, but it's not hard to get the hang of. He definitely offers more stars than Wii Kaiser does.

Those arcade rematches are brutal, I can't get past trough Piston Hurricane.

Good rankings but I’d personally swap the places between NES Great Tiger and WII TD Von Kaiser - personally von kaiser’s TD is the only one I did first try, and the nes great tiger is tricky to learn.

Don Flamenco 2 is one of the only fighters I can’t take out in the first round. I gotta time those gut punches better to get those stars.

At the start of the bald bull fight you can hit him in the face and get stars. Super punch every time you get a star. You can knock him down in 18 seconds.

Dude you should be able to beat Glass Joe in 42 seconds. That was not a good fight.

The original Punch Out still remains as the greatest video game EVER made. Yes I said it.

For me, Rick&Nick are the hardest opponents in the series by far. I never beat Nick and got trhough Rick only a couple of times. Compared to them. TD Bald Bull or SMM on NES, or TD Sandman are a walk in the park (the latter fight is the easiest of the three). I just cannot beat the brothers. This might be because it's harder to see their moves due to the camera in Super PU (you can see your opponents much clearer on NES and Wii). Surprised to see them so low on the list.
