A Fuller World
Registrace 23. 04. 2020
Starting out as a project to keep me busy during COVID, I began to trawl through some old footage from a few years ago when my sister and I went on a trip to Europe together. While I had well and truly already caught the travel bug, this was my sister's first overseas trip and I was pretty keen to impart my enthusiasm for travel!
Since then I've found I love the idea of making travel video's! The medium of video encapsulates the experiences so much better than the millions of photo's I had been taking (just to lie dormant on a USB somewhere!)
I love the idea of having some family style 'home videos' that one day I can show future generations and look back on with that warm, cozy, nostalgic feeling!
Travel broadens horizons, opening a "Fuller World" for you to experience- new cultures, peoples and perspectives.
Hopefully I can inspire planning that next big adventure in life, be it travel or otherwise!
Stay safe and stay happy.
Love,
Rowena

24 hours in... Venice!
This one is a city that needs no introduction.. We have a little stopover in the infamous city of Venice.
Complete with Gondola rides, strolls around the canals and admiring the local craftmanship at Murano, we see what a 24 hours in Venice can bring.

While I've been lucky enough to go to Italy before (never video'd sadly!), Cinque Terre has been on my bucket list for a VERY, VERY long time now. We arrived in the middle of an absolute heat wave (think Greece was on fire hot!), but still had to try out some of the famous trails and hike from city to city. Cinque Terre will not let you down.

What a stunning part of the world. And it was sooooo hot! 🔥
Well, I’m exhausted!!! 😂💪❤️
We did too! Thankfully we could nap the afternoons away in the heat! 😂
What a place my friend! This looks and feels amazing!
It was an incredible few days! I highly recommend a trip to this part of the world!
I just don't think you can go wrong with an Italian coastline!
My favourite place to be!
Don't worry, you haven't been near any dodgy places. The city centre is clean. You will have to go in western direction and out to the outskirts. Even there you will be safe. The real criminal city is Malmø in Sweden, but in the daytime you will be safe there too.
Thanks! Honestly, it was just the walk between the train to the hotel which gave us a bad first impression, after that- the city seemed very clean, safe and was a really lovely place!
@@AFullerWorld Sorry, I expressed myself wrong. With "clean", I meant clean from criminals. Maybe the odd pickpockets in summer days. The city centre is calm and peaceful.
I want to know if his water 💧 hot but very nice place to go visit
It is hot! But as Iceland is fairly cold, the hot water is really relaxing!
Ok thank you so much 😊
MOOSE!!
Went last there last year to the tattoo for the first time absolutely brilliant city and time there can’t wait to go back again
I brought my hubby for the first time, and he's already planning the next trip so he can see the Tattoo again! Edinburgh is definitely a household favourite now!
Skye in winter is absolutely incredible! I walked up to the old man of Storr was great. And it feels luke another world
I'd love to see the Old Man of Storr on a clear day. Honestly, I'll come back to Skye anytime of year. There's definitely a feeling of old world magic to that place!
Skye is a breathtaking place and i live here for over 8 years but I've only there once . And our trip up there was amazing as you see wild lives, scenery, castles. I love Scotland
It's a special place isn't it? I have a real love for the Scottish Highlands, and I'm hoping to get back and explore even more one day!
Scotland is great! Sorry that you caught in the rain at the Kelpies but it's typical Scottish weather 😂😂
That's ok! A bit of rain won't stop me from enjoying myself! 😅
Loved Iceland. Such a full itinerary we completed in 10 days.
It was such an incredible country - I would definitely go back and see more! ❤️
Its built on the plug to an extinct volcano. During the ice age the earth and stone was removed as the ice receeded leaving the plug
Very cool! I know you can really see the remnants of the volcano both at the castle and at Arthur's seat- two stunning spots!
Amazing place, super adventure👍👍Great to watch your video. Greetings from Poland!
Thanks! Iceland is Incredible! I've never been to Poland, but one day I'd love to. 🥰
That was so entertaining; I didn’t intend to watch this all the way throught, but it was so engrossing. Thank you for showcasing my favourite city in the UK. (Cheshire, UK 🇬🇧)
Thank- you so much for watching! I really just make these so our family can see our travels, and so I could have something to look back on. It's so incredible to me that other people are watching, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🥰❤️
my fav city and thankfully scots born and bred
It's one of my absolute favourite cities too, even as an Aussie! Although I know I've got plenty of Scottish Ancestry!
There are only 2 types of people,Scots and those who wish to be one.
In my experience that is nonsense. And I am Scottish. Most visitors find Scotland cold, wet and windy. Nothing worth seeing, nothing worth doing. The food is inedible and the people are dour and unfriendly.
I've always found Scotland really welcoming, and honestly- the cold doesn't bother me all that much- you know what you're in for and prepare appropriately! There's a certain kind of brooding beauty that you wont find along a sunny beach, and Scotland has that in spoonfuls!
❤Forever Scotland ❤ 🏴love Scotland 🏴
One of the best drives in Scotland is Glasgow to Campbelltown you will go past Lochs, Mountains and the Sea all in about 5 hours, well worth a day of any trip.
I'll add that too my list for next time! Thanks for the tip!
We are still in time for sharing further Christmas gifts, visit Scotland for the winter holidays & discover the Holy Creation in such iconic spectacular locations, thank you for sharing your great trips videos, great landscapes indeed 🎉❤🎉
That's wonderful! I'd love to visit the UK over Christmas time (one day!)... Coming from Aus I've never experienced a winter Christmas - enjoy it!
What is a "Holy Creation"?
Looks a lot like when I was in Skye in July 2023, overcast and rain off and on, but it is an amazing place no matter what the weather. As a Scot who moved to Australia over 50 years ago I have been fortunate to visit a few times but the last time I did the west side of the NC 500 and it is breathtaking, the drive over to Applecross is not for the timid but the scenery is well worth it. The Scottish highlands are something special, I got travel through some amazing places in the UK and Europe, Switzerland, Slovenia , Romania and Croatia were incredible but the highlands still leave me in awe, the rugged remoteness is what gets me. I hope you enjoyed your trip and I might have to subscribe just to see the rest of your adventures. 👍👍👍
I think we were there just a few months after you! I'd love to do the NC500- maybe I'll look into it for next time we head over, appreciate the recommendations! Luckily we got to do a few extra places in Europe too, so we did get some more sunshine than Scotland along the way!
Scotland 💙
Agreed! 💙
Being Scottish & staying 20 mins from Edinburgh,I enjoy Edinburgh very much & visit it regularly to dine & drink which Edinburgh has lots of great places to do both! I will probably get shot for saying this but I hate the bagpipes,to me it's a horrible droning noise & I can't stand it so the Tattoo is a form of torture for me,saying that,it's mostly tourists that go to it anyway! But enjoy! It's a great city! 😊
Each to their own! I'm sure you're not the only one who doesn't like the bagpipes- it's definitely a unique sound! I actually play in a brass band back home, and I can barely march straight in time and play, so I was very impressed with their abilities!
im scottish and the bagpipes stirs my soul
Great video! One small comment - Gaelic continued to be spoken into the 20 th century. The 1911 census showed more than 50 per cent of the inhabitants around Loch Ness spoke Gaelic, as an example. Its use was discouraged and it continued to fade, sadly. I’ve really enjoyed your Scottish travel adventures.
Thanks for letting me know! I always had the impression it died out much earlier. It's so sad to see a language being lost little by little. We loved travelling Scotland, I'm sure we'll be back one day!
Brekky= Aussie.
I suppose it is! I've never really thought of it as Aussie slang, but we do tend to shorten everything 😂
Lovely seeing my hometown which is super beautiful . Duncan Clontarf Beach QLD.
I agree, it's a beautiful place! I'm glad I could show you a slice of home! ❤️
Thank you for showing my home country so well and knowing how we toast, wonderful
Thanks for being such a friendly country! I'll come back to Scotland any time I have a chance- I absolutely love it! ❤️
My favourite city 💚 I’m not settled on my favourite whiskey so I’m still enjoying sampling 🥃
It's absolutely one of my favourites too! Sampling the whisky is a lot of fun... I'm still on the hunt for my favourite as well!
