Alfreton once agricultural market town. Now bottle neck for traffic. But still an intresting place of Gritstone Buildings. Fascinating that if this become a holiday location like Salou or Matlock Bath. There would be thousands of clicks and visitors videos... But alas it's now a backwater but for walking, especially to the Railway Station. Which Again is Just that bit too far for a tourist. Alfreton, who's heart drained out of it by Large Retail Stores and on the way to... No where.. Take care.❤

hi i lived in grange in the 60s and 70s i also worked there in late 80s at a garage must do a road trip bk up to my old stomping ground and take my dji friend lol also when i was a kid and even up until the late 80s there was no sea grass it was all rocks and sand up to the prom i see the bandstand years ago it had glass windows i shot a lot of them out with a catapult boy did i get into trouble ps love the music i must learn to edit my shit

5.50 Lawn turf place 6.50 e type jag in garage window back in the 70s 80s. 8.21 Pub that did a nice Barnsley Chop. 15.40 Old railway viaduct on right, now demolished. 22.24 city rd on right and down to Blisses social club that served Newcstle Brown in a bottle with a half pint glass on top, it was considered a beer to be sipped.

Great views of the pavements

I lived in S/Bro from 82 to 86 and it was fab; so much to see and do back then but the council have systematically ripped the heart out of the place by removing many attractions that brought the tourists in. The place is a shell of itself and the town centre crap, as is the sea front. Such a shame as S/Bro could be a wonderful place again with the right people running it but the morons in charge, all of whom will take back handers to demolish lovely buildings in order to line their own pockets ensure the town hasn't got a chance.
