    It's not possible that your green metal post would be plumb if the deck slopes 1/8 inch per foot. How do you compensate for that? You did not cover it.

      @@TheUltimateDeckShop It does, and has for thousands of years but that doesn't make composite garbage better or economically feasible. I caution people interested in composite decking to get the manufacturer's brochure and read every word of it. It's quite an interesting attempt to absolve themselves of the liability involved in installing it and should serve as a warning especially to DIYers!!

    • @TheUltimateDeckShop
      @TheUltimateDeckShop Před 3 lety

      @@jackriley5974 Sounds like you have a bias, and that's fine. But that doesn't mean composites are garbage just because you prefer wood. If you're concerned about install warranty, use Deckorators MBC lines. They provide a 25 year removal and replacement warranty regardless of who installed it. But not warranting install work isn't an uncommon thing. They still warranty the product regardless of who installs it. Car manufacturers won't warranty your labour for work you do on your car, furniture manufacturers don't comp your time to replace a couch if it's faulty, etc, etc. Install warranties are rare in any industry. But again, look at Deckorators...they DO provide an install warranty. Prorated obviously.
