Thanks for the reply. I think he went one hand so that he can get a longer reach than two handed. You can try it yourself! Because Pickford is relatively short, he needs to reach higher than the other players, hence going one handed.

I agree. As he is tall, if he had used his legs instead of going with his hands, I think he could have gotten it. Him reaching his hands to the floor is much slower than if he stuck his foot out. What do you think?

Because of the defender, I think it is near impossible for Writz to shoot near post. But if Writz manages to, by being set in the middle of the goal, Gunn should still be able to reach the near post shot. It is important to stay central as this gives you the best chance of saving a shot to either side of the goal.

But as goalkeepers we must be prepared for the unexpected, be it a bad bounce or a defender missing his block (thus blocking our vision). Ramsdale’s example shows us what could have been done better to react to these unforeseen circumstances.

@@GoalkeepingSolutions I like the idea of analysing key games, such as finals (of course) and pivotal moments (e.g. a seemingly random match that ultimately led to the team winning or losing the tournament). But whatever you choose to focus on will certainly be brilliant as you'll be motivated. Keep up the great work!
