    I live in Wisconsin, and my last apartment was across the street from a huge park that had dozens and dozens of old growth apple trees leftover from when it had been a farm. The stink bug problem was SO BAD every fall when it started to cool down that I was vacuuming up 10-12 PER DAY at times. The city eventually had to cut down the majority of the remaining apple trees in an effort to control the stinkers. It was terrible.

    In my experience, every house is different. All depends on the environment around the building and inside. The house could be filthy with lots of food crumbs all over, boxes that they forgot food in and haven't checked for awhile, home owner or tenants lying about how they store food or how they keep clean. Neighbors might have bird feeders or gardens .The bait will work , as long as there's no other food sources, or until the food they stored away, that they were able to collect before the home owner realized they had a rodent problem. And they won't go after the bait until their food source is depleted.

      Add bait stations is a second layer of protection. It is not a bad idea. I like to install them after the soil has been treated.

    Any idea why Methylated seed oil would be unavailable in Canada? It looks like soybean oil from what I can tell, and has no actual herbicide, so why the ban? Any theories? On a related note, if you couldn't buy mso could you guess at what might substitute- mineral oil?

    • @DoItYourselfPestControl

      I am not sure why it is not available there. You might try and Organo-silicone surfactant like Dyne-amic Surfactant.

    I'm starting a new pest control job and I was given a list of pesticides they use. There are a lot of different all purpose products that you can use for perimeter spray. How does one know which one to use? For noobs like me, help us simplify this please lol.

    • @DoItYourselfPestControl
      @DoItYourselfPestControl Před 21 dnem

      In the mis-summer heat it is best to use SpeedZone as a spot treatment. You can apply it as a broadcast treatment to the entire lawn once the day time temps drop below 85° F consistently.

      Alpine WSG will kill all listed pests! Also, it is actually a non-repellent so insects will not detect it and take it back to their colony or harboring area.

    We see some company’s knock down webs first then spray. I’m thinking spray first, let dry and then knock down webs. Does the spray penetrate through the webs onto the surfaces? What are your recommendations?

    • @DoItYourselfPestControl
      @DoItYourselfPestControl Před 21 dnem

      The spray can penetrate through to the surface but I am more inclined to remove webs first, then spray. The thinking is to force the spiders to contact the fresh deposits of spray in order to rebuild the web. That significantly increases their exposure to the insecticide.
