I bet she's still not finished paying for her new tits £5 a week
Found out what happened to my old Liverpool home of three years at the end of the 1970s when I found out that Bill Shankly was God 😉🌈 Bulldozed right out of existence. Life goes on. No more coal fires and shillings in the meter😩 Sad, but lovely memories of the heaven on earth we rented for seven pounds per week. ✌️👍😉
Wondor were tgey are know
See how hard it really was ..an look at today better off no matter what anyone is on .
Who was this woman at the beginning?
Margi Clarke's mother.
In the 1980's on Radio Merseyside Brian said that the greatest Tenor of Opera who introduced it to the population of the working class was Mario Lanza.
lol, the irony being that all these unemployed people lived in houses. Of course, everyone should have a houses, but I suspect the unemployed mostly live in flats now and the houses are owned by the otherwise sussecful.
The streets are so clean snd no cars outside any of the houses
2024, its worse, no hope. The UK has been run into the ground.
This iis so interesting thanks for uploading. Im from Liverpool & my Grandad Bill Bentley from Bootle served on The Empress, he was only 14, but he joined the merchant navy with many others who may of lied about their age. it must of been terrifying to be surrounded by the wolf packs for all of them but my Grandad was just a boy. I will akways be very proud of him
Age 42????
Peter Carey well done my friend sometimes we have to make big choices in life it worked for yourself proud of you.rab Scotland's
Im sure they would love to live in the Birkenhead not far from me here in Auckland , New Zealand . its an absolutely lovely place .
Thank God my father decided to emigrate in the mid 60's
I lived in lucania street
Part of the problem of that time stemmed from education with many youngsters at 16 leaving school with a few or no CSEs and then had problems finding work. Most jobs were for skilled in that Job Centre. It was rather strange that the guy had to sell his fishing rod to buy a packet of cigarettes. This proves that the mindset of that time was completely screwed.
Fuck. I thought he was gonna throw a seven off that motorway bridge😂
Has june with the £1000.00 lecy bill got a crop in the attic ?😅😊
The fella who lost his licence after an "accident" yeah right = drunk driver.
THIS is why my family emigrated back in the early 80's. An era of pervasive hopelessness and diminished horizons. People finished school and signed on. Around us was an ocean of poverty and hardship, while the tv shows the affluence that apparently existed elsewhere that only served to reinforce the hopelessness of your circumstance. That was tough to square, but I was 8 years old at this time. I still am not sure how my family gathered the funds together to pay for all the costs involved in emigration, but we did, and our collective horizons and prospects emerged. Still dearly miss 'home', but my life took off elsewhere and so far I've never had a need that could not be met. 40 years and counting... Have mercy, the fellow in the suit that was 42 years old looks 66. Such I suspect was the hard scrabble of life, and hardships.
June with ten kids! No wonder the electric was so high. Think of all the electricity being used on play station games, use of the power shower and laptops.
This is happening in the city of Baltimore Maryland USA, whole areas abandoned row homes, who decided what is a slum or not: the queen??!
1980 was a bit grim no doubt about it. Very few had money. People moan about the situation now but they need to watch this.
Even the disabled were made to work back then 😬
Processed food wasn't far off at this point.
Brian Jacques is a legend and my hero. When I was five years old my dad began to read Redwall to my brother and I every evening for an hour, it became our bedtime ritual and is now a core memory of my father. Before that I was not great at reading, but Brian Jacques' stories were so fantastic and captivating they made me want to be able to read them myself, I eventually began to attempt reading them on my own, foregoing my TV or video game time after school to read instead. In the beginning I had to ask my parents how to pronounce a lot of words and what they meant, but by the time I turned 7 years old I had read every existing book in the series by myself and anxiously waited for new releases in the saga. My teachers were astounded by my ability to read, they tested me in the 2nd grade and found I had a college reading level, which they all nurtured and gave me lots of suggestions for good books. I'm in my mid 30's now and have read well over 2500 books in my lifetime, I adore anything that is fantasy, sci-fi or a combination of the two. I probably would have become a writer if it weren't for my love of science and engineering, as much as I love reading my true passion is designing and building mechanical constructs, which is a direct result of my love for reading, which is where I learned how to do all that stuff. Which in turn is a direct result of Brian Jacques' Redwall series, he formed so much of my life and personality, I'm so sad that he is gone. RIP to a legend among men.
Socialism leads to laziness Drink at the pub and collect a dole packet for doing bloody nothing. Hey, at least you have free healthcare.
Long live the Iron Lady! Pip Pip Cheerio Bob’s your uncle
There but for the grace of God go I ,
White privilege
Tory Britain, it’s even worse now with the migrant crisis, the migrant population has gone up 6Million since 2010, we have the economic crisis, prescription waiting list when one time your meds were there in the pharmacy, now you can wait months for meds.
Labour Party Tory party two cheeks of the same arse 👍 vote reform hopefully not another cheek 😂
I’ve never understood the “I don’t vote” mentality. In my view if you don’t vote you have no right to moan or complain about the state of the country or an opinion of the people in government. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe it makes a great difference but at least you’re having your say.
Don’t remember collage view looking that good😂
I always pictured Jacques as a quiet, serious man. It warms my heart to see how boisterous, funny, and full of life he was. And not just a novelist, but a sailor, a musician, a comedian, and a broadcaster? A true artist who lived life to the fullest.
We used to have lec wired up to the lamppost and when we turned the kettle on the lamppost used to dim
The theme tune to this and world in action is iconic. Add the Sweeney tune and it’s a hat trick.
Amazing, I know of people who have upped and left their country, travelled half way across the planet to move to a country to get a job and a better life. These clowns, can't even leave the street. Yet I bet these are the same ar$3 clowns that would blame migrants for taking their jobs
Well ,Mick is now the age he looked in this documentary ! Hope he's still with us
I pray God blessed Eddie and Karen trying so hard. Anyone know what became of them?
All the jobs sent out of the country. Sad 😔
Back in the day in Dallas Texas there was a place called the Debonair Danceland where desperate housewives would go to pick up over the road truckers for some "afternoon delight" while their husband's were at work and their kids in school. Lol
Omg the woman talking at the beginning is so intelligent and what she says is so true…. Nothing has changed !!!
42 no chance
Poor Mick 42. !!! He looks 72 times was hard .. lol
Poor Danny is blind he's looking for work . These says lazy Brits suffer from mental health problems because they lost a gold fish and can't handle it ! Today's Britain is worse than it was back then .
I know council estates and ppl are more resourceful than we give credit for. Nobody _officially_ has a job.
Hickies house, for you that are in the know
Can you imagine most of those in the video are either in their 70s and 80s or even dead.
