We're familiar with Allan Savory's work. Studies show his conclusions are probably not applicable to high deserts (low precipitation shrub-steppe), but it is wonderful food for thought. Thanks for the comment!
The key is how many animals are herded together and how you manage their location at the right time of the year.
I think you all could benefit from listening to what Allan Savory has to say about grazing and the restoration of grass;lands.
