Her demeanor is so calm and just magnificent. However, I’m not saying any names but one young lady marine biologist thinks that this one tiger shark is friendly and it opens her mouth to try and bite. This is a better example of calm behavior in a shark thanks for sharing with us all

I wish positive shark - human interactions like this would be covered more in the media rather than always focusing on the negatives. Hope all the sharks are safe from hunters and fishermen. We can help a little by not being part of the fishing industry in any way.

It’s horrible/tragic/disgusting/wasteful that humans kill sharks just for their fins to make soup. Likewise the killing of manta rays just for their gills for unproven (crackpot) medicinal uses. It reminds me of Europeans who plundered almost to extinction the latter 1800s just for their coats for sale and then left their carcasses strewn on the prairie by the thousands. 😥

If you build a relationship with a shark without food as a stimulant I would pay attention to your research, but the only thing you've shown is sharks responding to food and can become semi handleable in the process

Having just encountered the amazing story between you and her, Emma, while looking through stories about wild animals. Not being fully aware how tough her life has been, I can somehow kind of sense it by seeing scars on her fin and her skin. Luckily she has met you and got helped in removing the hook. I am completely horrifed of swimming in the ocean because of sharks! However, after binge watching this wonderful Tiger shark Emma, I can confidently say I would consider going in the water with her! This amazing shark doesn't attempt to bite not even once! She seems to constantly come around for the cuddles and scratching!! Unlike the ones I've seen Ocean Ramsey swim with and she calls them all the cutie names and all, but they are always trying to eat her! Not Emma! I'm in love with Emma!

What gets me emotional is to watch her blink her eyes, then keep them open. Such trust. "Oh, it's you! I trust you." (For those that don't know: usually to protect their eyes, sharks close their eyes, when nearing something.)

Ya know i thought tiger sharks along w many others were very aggressive. Do not know what affection is. Would never recognize a person as a friend let alone recognize a person whom they like. Id like to thank you for sharing this as i would have never known sharks actually are affectionate and like head scratches. Im literally blown away w emma and her behavior. It really makes you wonder how many other animals and fish are just the same. Its also amazing many dolphins whales etc. Will actually try to save a person and other animals. Maybe its me but its mind blowing to me. Who would have ever thought something like this is possible. Let alone sharks of all things would exhibit such behavior. Id love to have a shark buddy. It makes you realize theres alot more things out there with feelings and emotions. I seen a shark smile when it seen its human friend. Who knew finding nemo's bruce smiling was actually a real thing lol. Simply amazing, people gotta remember. In the ocean we're in their house not the other way around. I thought tiger sharks were mean and boy was i wrong. Again, thank you very much for sharing such an amazing experience. Take care
