Ma'am I could be wrong but I don't think that's how squares look
hahaha yeahhhh the pattern is for squares but the yarn i used was very flimsy so they didn’t hold the square shape very well 😂
This helped so much!! And you are so pretty!! 💫💫
i’m so glad and you are so sweet 🥹
So that’s a sunburst. Also, the reason that’s not square is because you haven’t actually created a corner. Those need two sets of clusters separated by the chains.
i’ve heard it both ways 🤷🏼♀️ and i’ve definitely made sharp corners following that pattern but the yarn i used for the smaller square was super cheap so it didn’t hold its shape.
So stinking cute!
thank you!
sooo cute
why thank you 😘
Oh my goodness those are adorable I made some Disney ears before! I bought a ten pack of plastic headbands off of Amazon and I wrapped the yarn around the head band and glued my ears on! I have a rapunzel inspired pair and a hot pink pair! I’m going to make more I just don’t know which one to make do you have any suggestions?
thank you so much! i’d say just make your fave characters - it was really fun to be able to wear ears and then take pics of them. so you could do more princesses or pixar characters. i’ve also done star wars and i think i want to do marvel for next time!
those are circles
the yarn is used was really thin so they looked more like circles but they’re still considered granny squares 😅
Granny circle*@@theartofandi
Can u make a tutorial of how to make these granny squares
sure 😊
@@theartofandithanks
Love seeing your process. Inspiring
thank you 🥰
hahahaha love it
😘😘
Loved my dress!!!!! You are amazing!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
you’re the sweetest! so glad you loved it 🥰
Love!!❤❤ can you post a pattern
i won’t lie to you i did not really keep track of what i was doing but if you want i can make a longer tutorial video walking through it :)
I didn't realize how suited for a renn faire the evermore outfit was until now 🧙♀
right!? it worked out so well 🥰 will definitely be using it for lots of renn faires to come!
That is a great idea. I never even thought of doing something like that.
yeah! it’s a fun way to upcycle old quilts that are stained or worn cause then it turns into a cute vintage jacket 🥰
i’ll be posting a full tutorial hopefully later this week so stay tuned :)
Her: now I know you may be wondering why- Me: no I’m wondering how the hell you have that much free time to be making the sleeves of a dress which probably took an hour or 2 for FREE for a friend make it make sense seriously😭🙏🏻
i don’t sleep 😬😂 and i love my friend!
Roll and pin. Thats what I do. Fast and easy and never fiddly. Its beautiful.
thank you, great tip! i also just bought some sewing clips to use in place of pins and they are life changing! have you tried those?
Ok, this isn’t a cap sleeve but an extension of the sleeve. The original sleeve looks like a flutter sleeve - albeit a rather small/short flutter sleeve. And I agree with both @MissNoechen & @amieparham7657 - you rotated the pattern piece and the bias was changed on that piece. I know someone who made a velvet wedding dress and turn a front piece around and the nap was going in the wrong direction 🤦🏻♀️…in that case a rookie move big time
re: cap sleeve, i’ve heard it both ways 🤷♀️😅
Well done but horrible dress
haha thank you!
Welcome to the sewing comments section.
it’s a good time 😂😂
Beautiful! I love the subtle color.
thank you!
why would this matter to them? the difference is so small
so true, it is a very small difference! my friend has certain religious clothing she wears underneath her normal clothes that have to be covered. adding that extra bit of fabric allowed her to keep her religious beliefs/standards :)
@@theartofandi ooh I see!
Is this a Mormon thing?
hi! no this is just a sewing thing! we Mormons or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (as we prefer to be called :), do have modesty standards that we follow, but there are lots of people outside our church who wear or add cap sleeves to things 🙃
This is magic!
I GOT IT!!! I GOT IT! I don’t got it! I’m lost, but it looks awesome!
🤣🥰
This doll is UNREAL!
You killed it! At first, I was like, "She has a serger?! Lucky duck!" Love your whole look with the braids. Gorgeous!
thank youuuu and yes haha i had to plan around when we visited my parents so i could use my mum’s 😂
So cool. I don't care what music you listened to or what side you cut. Thanks for sharing.
thank you so much 🥰
you did amazing on this!!
thank you so much!
Oh good, I was going to comment the same thing, lol
😂😂
By the way, not everyone likes Taylor Shwift! This is why I disliked your vid!!!
check out some of my other non-taylor swift videos!
You didn't cut them out right. Yikes.
they still turned out okay 🙃
@theartofandi yeah, but still. You could have folded it in half and cut both on the bias. It's worth doing it right.
@@BayeLani fair enough 🤷🏼♀
omg I cannot believe you made this?? you’re insanely talented
aww thank you you’re so nice 😊 it was a struggle but so fun. one of the only things i’ve truly made from scratch!
ok barbie 💆♀️
ily 😘
yas
exactly 🙂↕️
well yes !
yes queen
Cutting the fabric on different grains 🥲🥲
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Why did you cut the sleeves separately, instead of on the fold?
i thought visually it would be easier to show that i was cutting out two sleeves by cutting them separately but cutting on the fold is definitely much quicker!
Cinderelly Cinderelly Cinderelly
Different grains? Wasn't that stretch satin?
Yup
❤❤very nicely done
thank you!
5 8ths is just right
Sorry but that dress is ugly 😢
When working with sheer fabric need to be very careful not to snag it , you did a great job
totally agree and thank you!
its so cute!! 🪴
thankooo 🥰
Kids washable Elmer’s glue… It will hold the fabric. Let it dry and then sew. It washes out with water ( probably not the best for a prom dress but other things it’s awesome.)
great tip!
Have you ever tried using 'gem tec' glue I've used it for years works since 1996 it dry clear even on satin fabric
I hope you get lots of yummy food and many beautiful flowers from all of your hard work!
thanks me too!
Lovely ❤
