In the example "Fred sold his old car to Sam two months ago", can it be modified to "Fred sold Sam his old car two months ago", by removing to and making Sam as a direct object?
Yes, that's perfectly correct as well.
Madam I have learnt a lot from you❤ Mohsin from sialkot pakistan
I'm very glad to read this, Mohsin!
Have you watched the film I highly recommend to you yet? * Persian Lessons* Check it out ! and thank me later!😀
I dont remembered learning this in school. Malaysia school no standard. Now as an adult, I am struggling with english
Learning the word order helps both listening comprehension and fluency. So, it's worth learning it.

Hi! Your videos are very helpful. Can I check what is the word order that we are using in email writing? For example, I am writing to request a quotation. "I am writing" is the subject? "To request" is the verb? And "a quotation" is the object? Appreciate if you could clarify this. Thanks
I'm glad my videos have been helpful to you. I would describe the structure more in this way: Who? I What? am writing (verb only; the object is implicit: this email) Why? to request a quotation
@@AngloLinkEnglish oh wow. Thanks for the explanation. Finally got the answer

Good evening mam ,mam congratulations for 13 lakh subscribers
Thank you very much!
Thanks!
You're welcome!
I love you so much. You are really a brilliant teacher. I have learned a lot from you.
Thank you very much! I'm glad my lessons have been helpful to you!
Hello prestigious teacher ! Could I use being after all shapes of verb to be to avoid any P.P words come after in all cases not only this. E.g Are you examined by a good practitioner. Or Will be being +p.p. Please could you clarify.
Technically, you can use 'being' in all Continuous tenses of the Passive Voice. However, because of phonetic awkwardness of saying 'being' immediately after 'be' and 'been', we don't usually hear the Passive voice in any Perfect Continuous tense (been being) or in the Future Continuous tense (be being).
Hope you doing good Teacher :) keep going...
Thank you! I will!
Mam, you said , can is used for offer. What is the difference between, Can I help you? May I help you? Please help me to understand
There isn't any difference in meaning. 'May I' is more formal.
@@AngloLinkEnglish mam, please make a video in which you use many modals to show the degree of intention of those modals. For suggestion we use " could , should " You could go there. Here , could is used as a suggestion that is tentative. You should go there. Here, should is used for recomandation. Do we use modals to show the degree of intention of speakes? Mam, please help me.
I have not come across the concept of 'degree of intention'. I tend to teach the Modals according to their function. What you describe is correct, and for me the difference is in the actual function: tentative suggestion vs direct recommendation. You can watch all my lessons on Modal Verbs in this playlist: czcams.com/play/PL2RW--lGzUm7GOKjpXhj7kucoEK9pvGif.html
(1) It might be in its place to stress that there must not be changes from narrative present to past tense back and forth. (2) I've come across present continuous sentences with a future meaning without a clear indication of a moment/ time in the future, e.g. next [whatever], this afternoon, later, tomorrow. My rationale has been that when there is enough, and most of all conclusive, context the reference of time can be omitted. Is that correct? (BTW, this is one of less than four "ESL" channels I've been a subscriber to for years!)
Hello and many thanks for your continued support over all these years! (1) I agree completely. Once we've decided whether we're going to use the Past tenses to tell our story or The Narrative Present, we mustn't switch between them. (2) Yes, if the context makes it perfectly clear that it's an arrangement, or if the time frame has already been mentioned in a previous sentence, I agree that the time reference can be dropped.
You are my favourite teacher of English.. could you post more model verbs video please?

Hello Minou! You couldn't tell me whether those two sentences are both correct, could you? Between you and me .. Between you and I.. Is the first one informal whereas the second one formal? Thanks ever so much for your time in advance.
Hello! I'd say 'between you and me' is the only only correct phrase because 'between' is a preposition.
Thanks so much. Have a lovely weekend. Always a pleasure to see you. Fare thee well for now .
I've been watching your videos for 10 years, and I became an English teacher because of you. You are the best to me, it's nice to see you back, and thank you, your " like" changed my day!😢

Hi ma'am.. I love your videos. They have been very helpful for me in my English learning journey. I have a request, ma'am. Could you please tell me the usage of the word "only"? It can be placed before any parts of speech when we want to emphasise it, am I right, ma'am?
Thank you! I'm glad my lessons have been helpful to you. Yes, the neutral position is before the main verb, but if you want to emphasise a specific element, you can put it before that element.
@@AngloLinkEnglish Thanks for the reply, ma'am. When we place it before a main verb, it will modify the verb alone, won't it?
Maybe so, but the message stays the same. There's no difference other than emphasis between 'I've only seen this movie once.' and 'I've seen this movie only once.'
@@AngloLinkEnglish But, I heard that using only before different parts of speech can change the whole meaning of a sentence as we stress the word for emphasis when we speak it. E.g. *Only I* saw her in the park. I *only saw* her in the park. I saw *only her* in the park. I saw her *only in the park*. These four sentences don't mean the same, do they?
Very Very Very Very ❤HELPFUL❤
Glad it was helpful!
I congrat you so much
