At this time the tires were BFG A/T K02 225/75/16, on original alloy wheels. There was no other modification.

-12 offset 16x8 Pro-Comp alloy wheels. Tires are BFG M/T KM3 225/75/16.

It is a kinetic recovery rope... the RAV4 was new to me; and I had absolutely no idea how it would perform on this kind of terrain. I wanted to be prepared for the worst!

No; there is no center diff lock on any RAV4.2... only on first gen RAV4. I swapped a RAV4.1 transmission + t-case for the slower gear ratio and center diff lock function.

I can't tell, we never had the diesel version in USA/Canada.

During winter I use Nokian studded tires. I'm just not in a rush to install them for the first snow falls.

No; it's a new RAV4.

On that video the tires are BFG MT KM2 (235/70/16).

This one was a generic basket off ebay/amazon, and it was a real piece of crap. Later I bought a Rola and this one is worth the price.

I still did not had time to install the winch to the blue RAV4.

@@VitorCoelho6 he answered that elsewhere and I don't quite recall the exact answer. I believe it was just a matter of getting a good deal on a different body in better shape and then modding it the same way over time.

If you live where they salt roads during winter; check the front subframe carefully. It's their weak point. Same thing for the rear diff where it bolts to the unibody. If you check for a 2001-2003 with automatic transmission; they have some ECU soldering problems that could affect shifting. With high mileage manual transmissions; the fifth gear sometimes pop out by itself or does not works anymore.

It would be great if V6 were sold into the gen 2 RAV4. It has a first gen manual transmission/t-case with lower final ratio (4.93). It has a center diff locker and a rear Torsen limited slip diff. Swapped a 2.4L instead of the original 2.0L. Front skid plate, 8000 lbs winch and 3.5'' lift kit. Sway-bars delete and 30'' BFG Mud terrain tires.

@@Trail-Warrior ive got 2" front and rear lift, 10 ply tires from an f-150, sway bar delete front and rear, 2" wheel spacers, pedal commander and i reinforced the frame with 3/16 tube stock thats all for now

No problem with the alignment, but I had to add front camber bolts to get everything into specs. The steering reacts exactly like before.. and same thing for handling.

@@Trail-Warrior just curious did you also use wheel spacers? I wanna buy rims with 0 offset but stores are telling me it won't work because it interferes with the caliber.

No, there was no RAV4 with TRD edition in 2001.

3.5'' lift kit with Old Man Emu springs + 40mm spacers. 2.4L engine swap. 1st gen RAV4 transmission and t-case swap = 4.93 final drive ratio and center differential locker. Celica GT-Four SPEC stage 1 clutch kit. Torsen type 2 rear limited slip differential that came off a Lexus RX300. Front aluminum skid-plate. Sway-bars delete. 225/75/16 BFG mud terrain KM3 tires that add another 1.5 inch ground clearance. Over axle rear exhaust routing, etc.

Yes, my black one was extremely rotten on the under carriage. I got this one for a really good price. So I've swapped all my mods from the black RAV4 to the blue one.

@@elfandre6498 I always owned Toyota's only. My dream vehicle is a series 70 Land Cruiser, but they were sold only for 3 years in Canada... so they are extremely rare. Money wise; the RAV4 is a good choice for me right now. It is extremely reliable and the parts are still available everywhere for cheap. It is FUN to drive and I love it. With all the mods made to my black RAV4, it was logical to me to get the same model to swap all my mods to the newer one.

I have a lifted 2007 taco with Arb bumpers and 33 inch tires. My 98 rav 5spd is way more fun to drive. A diesel 70 series would be nice😮
