Have seen a chaleumeau player with mutton chops from 1970s. He plays ensembles over 50 years and has not seemed to age. Does anyone know his name? Think he enjoys that herbal Carthusian beverage. Was Hundt Ensemble a group of chaleumeau players back then?

Puro stile francese di cui Telemann è stato certamente il migliore dei rappresentanti, in un’epoca in cui il francese era la lingua delle corti europee. Certo che al di là delle varie danze questa musica, che regnava sovrana nelle corti, era ripetitiva e funzionava da sottofondo nei grandi saloni. Certamente il Nostro ne ha create molte più originali

The normal English translation of the German "B-dur" ( as the key of this work is proclaimed by the first image in this video) is B flat. What English describes as the key of B is described in German as "H". This doesn't sound like either, but it is probably closer to the Baroque tuning of B flat, surely?

Kardewski: I am delighted to subscribe to your offerings, which to me indicate a sophisticated understanding of Telemann's genius. I myself have been a Telemann aficionado for 55 years, dating to when some dismissed this good friend of both Bach and Handel as a scribbler. Sir Arthur Hutchings knew better, declaring Telemann, about as long ago, "a subtle artist whose profundities are not revealed to dullards." The more one grasps the materials of Baroque music, the more one may see how Hutchings' insight applies to this piece.

Wunderbares Tempo. Immerhin ein (ursprünglich tanzbares) Menuett für die Hofgesellschaft in Darmstadt. Auch klanglich toll.

Un Telemann che sorprende per la originalità di questa cantata, “ fresca e leggera” in stile musicale lontano da quello solito di questo straordinario compositore. I due artisti e l’orchestra fanno degna corona a questa bella cantata. Da gustare!!!

Nicely paced. Could have even been slower for a menuet dance, but this is absolutely acceptable. Sounds really fine, too. Telemann was brilliant.

I absolutely agree with you guys. And it could still be even slower, but this is quite alright. The menuet was a slow group dance.
