I woke up this morning and saw my Maranta and Calathea Medallion leaves in the "praying" position. As soon as I open the blinds the leaves will go back down.

In addition to waiting for the soil to be 100% dry, the leaves should also be thirsty - if they are firm, hold off until they become a little squishy and deflated or wrinkled. If the leaves are full of water, they will either take up the water and damage leaf tissue because they become full to bursting, or they won't take up that water at all and roots become vulnerable to root rot because that deep soak just sits there in the pot. To recap, wait for soil to be 100% dry AND leaves to be ready to drink up that water.

Mine leaves are turning yellow suddenly(but not wilting). What could be the reason?

Someone better give this info to the massive succulents in my garden. It's rained for the last two months and my succulents have grown so big. They shrink back in the summer.

Oh my God, you make it seem so freaking easy! You don’t even lose one pearl of string on the strings! It’s amazing When I do it , I’m lucky if end up with a couple of strings to repot😩 mine start falling all over the place, and it ends up dying because of the repot.😔 You doing an amazing job with your plants 👏🏼 I appreciate all the great tips and useful information✌🏼

Hi, can you please share the eaxct soil mix you are using? I used the Miracle gro indoor potting mix with a lot of perlite and bottom water my peace lily but it wilts too quickly even if the soil is still very wet. And we recently had the issue of root rot.

If I had a plant with that many pups at once, I'd put a pot of soil under it for the pups to root in. Imagine a naturally cascading arrangement of spider plant. You should definitely try it!!

Do you need to remove all the old soil before putting it in the new pot?
