One thing I like to look for is the magic within the area your in. I mean the 100% best magic that the city has to offer, at what time of year, and I guess it can be sensitive to the individual. For example I can't get over when the regular snowfall change over to lake effect when I'm in Cleveland. But I love the snow, I was the VP of the ski club in my senior year in HS. I'm from Jersey, I for sure can say what I think is the magic in NYC : that is the city ambiance NYC ommits 24/7, 365. Philly has 3 or 4 days in the summer where the sun is all day , the temp is perfect, the people all seem to know its one of the few perfect days. Anyone visiting Philly on one of those days also picks up on the idea. If I had to guess while in Pittsburgh if the Boss's people had the money to send the Boss from NYC than everything is done under the sun, everyone's happy. That's Pittsburgh's magic, right ? Ha HA HA that was me telling you something funny, okay ? But I have a example for you, when Florida beat the Rangers in 6 this year I met a dedicated Rangers girl fan on a mass transportation vehicle. She was depressed as me after that. I definately wish to she her again. Me and my bud are Pirates fans, so ! And than south to I had fam retire and go south. So stay well , thanks for the vid !

For those seeking to move to Pittsburgh please listen up Allegheny County the County seat of Pittsburgh has become a cesspool of crime of street drugs, violence, stabbings, assault and our transit system is deeply getting worse. Our region has some of the Country's best history and Rails to Trails, yet the pure transit options make it impossible to move freely. The Violence is getting deeply worse and our Golden Triangle that's our Downtown or Center City section is filled with crime to where we lost many of our businesses and Restaurants due to the growing crime that's growing here.

What neighborhoods in Pittsburgh do you recommend?

The counties of Beaver Butler Lawrence. Any county but Allegheny County. On top of the 6% sales tax Allegheny adds on another 1%. Allegheny also has a 10% drink tax . The public schools are fair at best. However The Pittsburgh Symphony Strip district and various museums along with The Gateway Clipper fleet are excellent. But I wouldn't live in Allegheny County.

Thank you Rylee Madden. I was in Pittsburgh for the first time from Houston. I thought overall a very good looking city and nice people. I got to my hotel late at night the first day in downtown around 11:30PM and yes it was like a ghost town and somewhat scary. The only ones in the street were homeless. But during the day city looked great and enjoyed my time there. Thanks

I’d avoid the East End like the plague for the next few years. When they start the replacement of the I-376 Commercial St. Bridge next year, ALL of the parkway traffic is going to detoured onto S. Braddock Ave. That will make Murray Ave, Forbes Ave and Penn absolute nightmares.

Allegheny taxes are insane and they're about to re assess again. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I live 25min out of Pittsburgh in the state of WV you get all the advantages of living in a city while living in a smaller town. Ntm the cost of living is much cheaper than in PA

High crime now and many problems and police not 24 hour a day.

People from the north tend to not travel to the south. And vice versa. 😂 Well not unless you have to. If you have family you want to be near make sure you pick that side of the city. Down town is for museums. 😎 They have wonderful ones. The hills are crazy if you are from a flat state. Highways in down town are crazy. Avoid down town during rush hours. Pittsburgh had amazing parks and playgrounds all around the areas north and south hills. North hills feels more country then the south hills. South hills is better for public transportation travel for sure. Over all. I would say check out areas in Google maps to get ideas of areas and amenities.

Don't forget New Castle.

Philly is a city. Pittsburg is a large town. You can fit Pittsburgh in West Philly. Way more culture, history and things to do.

It's boring in Pittsburgh. I make it abundantly known I am not a Pittsburgh sports team fan BECAUSE of the way they are about their teams here.

Worse roads and highways in the US. Every year they raise the turnpike fees but never fix the potholes on the highways. Truckers also say PA is the worse state to drive through with the highway ramps that you literally have to slam on the brakes when getting off the highways as most ramps are shorter than anywhere else in the US. Also potholes on the highways. Plan on getting new shocks, tires and alignments every 2 years. On the plus side... You learn that yinz is a legit word and you get to eat perogies. You have the steelers the rebuilding penguins and even the pirates are playing a lot better.
