This Is How You Fit Vocals In A 2 Track Beat
Sir, I am very tired of asking everyone. But I did not get the right advice from anyone. Some say to buy a dynamic mic, some say to buy a condenser mic. I want to record my poetry professionally at home. Please tell me a good mic and audio interface which gives me professional sound quality within my budget. My room is not Sound proof, My total budget is 350 dollars for audio interface, mic and headphones.
Just liked and subbed my boy keep it up 🔥🔥
Can I build my cheap studio with mac laptop, focusrite scarlett solo, condenser mic and headphone only? I'm noob artist
yes you can bro
I think it's good to have Studio Monitors too, but it's enough for a start (for about 60$ you can get used Presonus Eris 3.5)
If you only tracking yourself then that should be fine. But if you're talking about mixing, you may want to at least try to get a cheap pair of monitors. It's really not good for your hearing to have headphones on all the time
Can you mix a song for me?
Email me at zaydidit334 @ gmail .com
Why would you not recommend using a wardrobe? I was thinking of putting foam pads up all over it
If it's big enough fine. But if done wrong your recordings can end up sounding boxy or completely lifeless
One thing to add is a DAW. Logic is best bang for the buck. Then Reason. So many instruments and sounds for you to start.
I'll put my Sony acid 8.0 cracked daw against anyone who paid top dollar for protools . I've learned that daw to the point where everyone who hears my music thinks I'm using protools .. and another thing u can get the cracked full version for free to get started .. I started out using acid as my only means now I choose to have the cracked acid 8.0 I tried 11 it's cool but I used to use 7.0 now I prefer the 8.0 cause the color was updated ..
I use Pro Tools and Fl Studio. As of now I day FL is the most bang for your buck. Entry price of 99 bucks plus free lifetime upgrades. Easy learning curve and great stock plugins
sad by xxxtentacion was also recorded with an sm7
I wasn't aware of that
What about the Shure sv7 I just received this mic not sure on how to use it yet
Where do we record if not in the closet my g?
Sometimes the middle of the room is the best option. Closets can be fine in some situations but it's a bit more boxy than I like.
@@TeachMeZay thx
do you HAVE to have speakers starting out or will just listening to your playback through your headphones be enough
Use what you have. Headphones can serve many purposes. Monitors are better for the most part but headphones will do just fine. Especially if you just starting out. Just make sure they are a decent pair.
weclome back. good advice again. I do voice overs for the company I work for. content on that would be helpful. I have a home studio. thanks
I can look into that! I'm glad to be back!
Warm Audio 47j is an amazing microphone.
I haven't tried one I'll definitely demo one in the future
@@TeachMeZay I have the privilege of living 20 minutes from Sweetwater Sound and demoed a lot of microphones. Appreciate your videos.
I bought one used and I'm starting to like it as a backpack option! I have a Wa8000 in my studio and that's my go to
Nice video, great recommendations!
Glad you like them!
Gotta remember you get what you pay for
this is true but there is no reason to break the bank for recording one person, especially if you aren't sure how to effectively use the equipment yet.
@@TeachMeZayI’m not talking about the focusrite lol
@@OfficialKm0neeyy what are you referring to
@@TeachMeZay the microphone
@@TeachMeZay and headphones but not really but the mic is crucial but I guess it don’t really matter if you setup ain’t sound treated right
On point man! The only thing I’d add is the 2nd and 3rd gen Scarlett’s can be found in the cheap. Me personally, I have a synth set up so I upgraded from the solo to the 2i2 for left and right channels. Anything beyond a 2i2 would if you want to track the entire band at once or you want to track each drum piece simultaneously
yea but tracking a whole band is a bit much for the audience of this video
bro called out my entire setup 😂😂
Well that just means you agree with what I'm saying then 😂
That was a to the point video and easy to understand. Helped a lot. Thanks
I'm glad I was able to help! Best of luck in your journey!
I’m eyeing the Rode NT1 mic and Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Good combo, huh?
Can't go wrong with it
I’m getting a MacBook Air m1 with a ssl 12 interface is that a good combo?
There's nothing wrong with that combo. The ssl interfaces are pretty good. 8 gigs is enough to record and mix a medium size session.
I'd like to add shure sm58 with scarlett audio interface specially if you wanna record powerful vocals
That's definitely a good one!
I have the sm-58 and the scarlett 4i4. Korg M50 (88 key), Roland td-17kvx v drums. Very happy.
#405! Congrats and hope that you cross 500 and 1k subs soon!

From all the one plugin mastering I have tried, Master plan seems to be the best and the more complete one. Way better than Bx masterdesk true peak for example. It's possible to go louder and cleaner. But for a pro master I still need to complete with few plugins to get a top notch master. In term of loudness Master Plan can compete with your other mastering chain, but if you listen carefully you will find that your mastering chain sound a bit better. Especially in the highs and the lows. There is something more refine and brighter. Not a night and day difference, it's subtle, but I still hear it. But anyway, well done to the guys who created Master Plan. Really amazing tool. If they ever come to make a version 2, I'm already sure it will become my go to plugin. I would love to have in the same plugin a separated clipper, a bus compressor, and 2 different limiter with a common graphic to see exactly what I'm chopping with a delta to hear the part I remove. And a graphic 4 bands EQ. Maybe one substractive EQ at the beginning of the chain and one additive EQ before the last limiter. Have a nice day.
I'm sure they listen to feedback. I like the fact that almost anybody can pick it and achieve something usable. It may not have a 4 band EQ, but the 3 band multi band compressor is good.
@@TeachMeZay You are right on that. The best would be that friendly user mode for beginners and also an advanced one for the ones with more experience. I would love to see Music Hack team up with Modern Metal Songwriter to end up with the best mastering software ever created. Those 2 company are very underrated and have the same kind of phylosophy behind. Make something different, easy to dial in, effective and powerful.
Love this 💯 Turn that damn AC or fan off!! 😂
You wouldn't believe the amount of sessions I've opened up from clients that had the AC running WIDE open the whole time 😂
@@TeachMeZay Me too…that Adobe AI tool actually does really good at cleaning up bad audio but it sounds kinda robotic sometimes..
Yea noise reduction can only do so much. I hate using it a lot of the time
Brodod the all video pls you a Goat im your 315 sub today
Thanks for the love! And welcome to the channel. Hopefully you get something out of this channel!
This is Sam from Musik Hack (the guy from the HMD video), thanks for sharing your thoughts on Master Plan, Zay! You really get what we are doing with this plugin, we poured a lot of knowledge into it, and it means a lot that it's cutting through all that work for you. Congrats on your subscriber count, too, let's get you to 1k!
Thank you for tuning in! Master Plan is a wonderful, well thought out plugin. You guys made gold with this one! I'd recommend it everyday of the week! 1k here we come!
Bean using Reasons included mastering devices, and seems to work fine.
Can it do it in one module ?
@@TeachMeZay Well multiple devices can be put in one device called a Combinator and controlled as one.
Here from ig
Thanks for the love!
That Lush Vox and that Lindell are very subtle, but very nice. And that F6 side-chained from the vox bus. Subtle, but powerful glue. I went back to the video start and compared the pre-processed vocals a few times. Very nice tweaks. Great demo. You know what you're doing.
Thanks! I'm just trying to improve day by day and hopefully pass along what I learn!
@@TeachMeZay 👊🏻😎
Im doing the same video soon however I have the AT4040 and will suggest that over The AT2020. I also have the NT1a which is still sold new everywhere but your right the Newer black one is a better.
I like the at4040 as well but it's 50 bucks more than the Rode. That NT1a made it through a lot of sessions for me. I use the WA8000 now and I'm not looking back but I wouldn't hesitate to use a NT1a if that's all I had.
@@TeachMeZay I used stuff most of the time.
@@HOLLASOUNDS I know that's real. Whatever is on hand right ?
@@TeachMeZay Nope, for that I would just record on a phone. Actually got some dam good recordings of My phone. Im not talking an entire song just some vocal adlibs washed in reverb to add to My beats, sounds pretty dope.
@@HOLLASOUNDS hmm that's interesting. I've done similar with a phone call so I can see that being a thing.
I will never recommend a USB mic for someone, it's better to go for focusrite solo bundle 3rd gen, for the budget they are the best
The rode Nt1 5th isn't a true USB mic. I'm not recommending as a standalone unit. It has USB connectivity as a last resort but obviously it's full capabilities aren't utilized without phantom power via XLR. I'm recommending it based off it's practical use scenario. Which is why I recommended the scarlet solo. In my opinion that Mic bundled with that focusrite kit just ain't cutting it.
@@TeachMeZayI agree, from what I’ve heard the focusrite bundle isn’t that good so it’s worth getting stuff separately. I’ve got the Marantz MPM-1000 which sounds identical to the Tascam TM-80 for a lot cheaper. I’ve even gone for a different audio interface, the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD (the solo version is the UMC22 I think).
The new mic in the focusrite package deal sucks .. at minimum the audio Technica at 2020 was the best option to pair wit the Scarlett 3
And my mic was only 40 used beat that
thanks man love you
No problem!
Roll Tide!!!
Roll Tide!
Great choices I would agree. Don’t be afraid to mention the computer and most importantly the required specks to get the job done ✅
The only reason I didn't mention the PC in this video is because it doesn't require a strong PC for tracking. But that's definitely a video I plan on making in the future .
Its about recording vocals not production.
I just found your channel and subscribed. was not aware of the Rode NT1 5th gen. going to pick one in the morning. I am a content creator for Altium Designer software and have a home studio. Looking forward to using this mic. Thanks
Thanks for the sub! Rode makes great mics. You definitely won't be disappointed!
P r o m o s m 😥
? Promos ?
Very informative, thank you for sharing 🙏🏾😊
You are welcome!
Dude , you don ' t put a space before an exclamation or question mark . If you can't even speak English properly I doubt you can record well either.
I can't tell u how many times cars, planes etc. ruined my vocals, but I am always listening for it (and re-sign). I just wish I knew what to do with that mic bump noise my klutzy butt made when I nailed my vocals and will probably not sing it that good again )o: Its right on top of vocals and I can't lower the volume there with automation.
I know that sucks! Sometimes I add an effect to the vocal like distortion or a hard reverb throw just to make it unique sometimes. Maybe a heavy piece of auto tune with a big reverb and a flanger just to mask a mistake
@@TeachMeZay Thank you so much ! I will look into this....
@Get_to_the_Point you are welcome
Great info, thanks for sharing..
Glad it was helpful!
I listen to these budget studio gear YT's and either it really cheap gear that isn't too good or someone with a lot of expensive gear just trying to show off what they have. I have to say your giving excellent suggestions for getting started on a budget. I'm getting back into recording after years away and I'm using some of the same gear your recommending to get back into recording without breaking the bank. Thanks for making this video I'm sure it would help a lot people getting into recording.
That's the goal. Gear is cheaper than ever and a lot of it isn't necessary. That's all I want to make known. It kills me when people recommend thousands of dollars worth of stuff to people who aren't making profit yet.
this one a classic too FOU HUNDRED DOLLARS!?
Preciate it! Yep Fo Hunnid Dollars!
Mo only issue is what to do with audio files say Reddit kits say a 808 file might be pre baked above true peak 0 ?
All you can do is turn it down
Use that clip gain or trim and just listen to how it won't decimate your mix
Solid advice
On time new subscriber mo fire mo fire!!!
Mo fire coming right up!
Quality content 🎉
Thanks. I try to deliver. Thanks for watching.
What is the difference between gain and volume or fader? Newb here. Thx
No problem. The simplest way I can put it is gain is how much signal is being sent directly into an input. Volume is how much of that signal is being sent out of any given output.
@@TeachMeZay Thank you !
@@Get_to_the_Point that's what I'm here for!
