This is just a hair rig. A kd rig needs2 or 3 whips down, lift the hair and go 4 or 5 wraps down and finish off as a Knowles knot

Adam, that isn't a I'd fit that's a standard shouted hair rig....KD has 2 turns under the hair to lick it out as per the way Tom dove ties them....far be it from me to correct an angler of your level but on this is well my left but I'm right. Lol

This rig features in Foxs book, The complete guide to carp fishing. Chapter 13. Under advanced rigs. I know as i love it wnd use it alot finding it better than the chod. But major error here. As per the book you knot the double stuff link together. You dont just blob it. Thats no way strong enough. The very first step is you tie an overhand loop. Knoted one end and loop at the other. Then slide the bead down to the knot. This could fail badly. Note you can get a huge array of tungsten bead colours also and camo. Perfect counter weight and colour can add attraction (vs camo). But yeah this is incorrect and Fox do not have it this way. Videos are lovely though just this one aint right

Take your time, tie it right and cinch knots well than cut the tag ends very close. I generally hate cutting the tags close but surprisingly it's never come undone on me (at least yet) and it makes a world of difference when it comes to the knots passing through the rod eyes.

Great go-to knot if the size of the rod eye is large enough to clear the knot! For smaller eyes, I use the FG knot, especially for joining mono to braid. Very nice illustration, thanks!

Sure way to waste your time and ruin line. Number of loops will greatly vary per thickness etc. Shitty title as it’s not for braid and fluorocarbon as they say

I prefer the FG not due to casting. The Uni tend to get stuck when casting through certain rods with small eyes. I would only use a short uni about a foot to 2 ft long.

Best knot in the world - have pulled everything from Tarpon, Red Fish, Amberjack to 150-200 lb Lemon, Spinner, and Sandbar/Reef sharks in with this knot. Spinner Sharks are extremely difficult to land because they do just what their namesake said, they jump and spin - snapping your line. If you reel fast when a Spinner Shark jumps, this knot hauls them in. Braided line to nylon, this works like a gem and has even lasted 2-3 years on some rods without snapping or giving way. I would literally use this line to save my life knowing how strong it is, string to string or to tie anything fish related. "60% of the time, this works every time."

Don't use every time I've seen this used , the blob comes off near the bead. Better to use a blobbed knot if you have too...
