I don't always like every SKZ song, but I do like Chk Chk Boom and Mountains. Like you, Mountains is probably my favourite of the two. The hook is so catchy and the repetitions don't get irritating. Yeah, I dont know them all either 😅 I know most of their names, but I can usually only identify Bangchan and Felix. Be sure to watch their latest mv, Stray Kids. It's lovely and quite emotional. I recommended this to you a few weeks ago, so I'm glad you really liked it. I loved it when I heard just the audio, before the mv came out. As you say, it's just so different and their voices are great. I think you would also like another new group, KAVE. The debut song is Legend. There is also a visualiser for Venom, which I probably like even more. The whole EP is worth a listen, all the songs are great.

Thank you so much for checking out ONE PACT🥹 The group is self-produced with the member Tag (your possible favorite 🙈 01:40 and also 02:28) writing and producing all their songs (except the song G.O.A.T from their debut album)! He is insanely talented, and has such an interesting production style and writes amazing lyrics! All the members met on the show Boys Panet (the show that created ZB1)! Tag left the show before it aired and was mostly edited out, but two of the members made it to the second elimination, and two made it to finals! The leader Jongwoo (01:50 and 03:24) actually had the company and group made for him and picked the members of ONE PACT himself. Some of the members had even decided to step away from being an idol before Jongwoo personally contacted them and brought them on! The other members are the maknae, dance machine and amazing vocalist Yedam (02:02 and 03:57), the amazing vocalist and dancer + mom of the group Seongmin (01:56 and 03:36) and main vocalist Jay Chang, who is currently promoting with another group and could unfortunately not be a part of this comeback, but will be back once time allows it! The group is as mentioned self-produced, self-formed, and has a lot of creative freedom when it comes what they put out musically. They do a lot of their own choreography and leader Jongwoo has filmed, edited, and directed their self-made music videos to the songs “RUSH IN 2 U” and “PERIOD”. I really hope you check out more of their work and I can recommend their debut MV “Must be nice”, the performance video for “Hot Stuff” and the two self made music videos mentioned above! I hope you enjoy💕

Spy, Dystopia and Excuse me being rated too low 😢 Hands up issue is it lacks a strong boom bap beat. A potentatiall good song ruined by a weak percussion Fermata is probably the only BAP RnB song I like. The melody reminds me of those 00's RnB hits (00's = golden age of RnB music genre)

I so do not agree with you on "Whut's poppin", "Fight for freedom", "BAP" ! I think BAP intros in general are 🔥 except for "Le Noir". Our tastes are totally different indeed 😬. Don't agree on a lot of your picks But to each his/her own

I kinda like it in retrospect for being as iconic as it is, but I'm glad it wasn't the first thing I saw of Kpop or it would have influenced my impression of it negatively, because it's not typical. My first Kpop was actually SHINee's "Lucifer" (but in 2017 because it was featured in an episode of LUCIFER) and that was love at first sight. :) My fav Psy song is the lesser-known "Napal Baji".

I often think Stray Kids will be the Kpop group to break the barrier and win a Grammy. BTS chased that a little too hard.

I have a nice J-rock recommendation for you, "sheeple cirQus" by UNiTE. Nothing too avantgarde, despite the weird title, I promise. It's rock with a catchy touch of electro swing, and the visuals are amazing.

Yeah, I think this song was meant to be a lighter release, like just a fun song. I still enjoyed it tho. One of the things i love the most about this group is their vocals and yeah i do think their vocals shine more in other songs. If I have to recommend my favorite TRENDZ title songs, i'd have to say "VAGABOND", "MY WAY" and "WHO" (although I understand when ppl dont like WHO bc it was quite experimental 😂). Wow, this brought back a lot of memories. I remember being a casual listener of some of their songs. I didn't imagine I'd see anyone reacting to them now in 2024, but I love it when people try to explore music beyond what's just mainstream. This and "Watch Out" are probably my favorite of theirs, if you want to check that song out ;) Fun fact: HOTSHOT's latest song "I Hate You", which was composed by their leader Junhyuk and Vendors, was the first song ever produced by Vendors (a well-known production team in which Junhyuk currently works as a composer under the name "polar"). You'll usually see the name "Vendors" in many very popular song credits such as, just to mention a few recent ones, ARTMS "Virtual Angel" and tripleS "Girls Never Die". Junhyuk was friends with a former member of the group HISTORY, Yijeong (later known as EL CAPITXN), who was the one who founded Vendors after HISTORY disbanded, and invited him to join along with other friends from the industry, one of them being Jaeho, aka Nano, another HISTORY member and current leader of Vendors (Btw HISTORY also had such good music!! dramatic and fun music. It's a shame they also disbanded). I always keep an eye on the groups they make music for because I almost always enjoy the songs that team makes, and I like the fact that former idols and friends are still working in the music industry, but as music creators.

In "Astro" he didn't have many opportunities to sing except the year when MJ (Astro's main vocalist) had left for the military and Rocky was the only one in the group who could perform his parts with high notes. For a long time he was known mainly for his outstanding dancing skills. Taemin is his role model by the way and he practiced copying a lot of Michael Jackson and James Brown in the process of developing his own style. His new album is great. I love all the songs in it, "Jealousy" is a very powerful song and my favourite one is "Read You", I think Rocky's very good at singing ballads.
