    Am I the only to call out the absurdity of Rico saying it was 5:30 in the morning when clearly it was something like 10 or 11 am ? I mean, the sun ain't up like that at 5:30 am in Florida. Maybe a little bit of dusk starting to come up around the Summer Solstice, but not full blow sunshine.

    Great episode with a very young Viggo Mortensen, Lou Diamond Phillips and Annette Benning. PMT very convincingly makes you believe he wants out of Vice, then you realize its a sting to smoke out the leaker

    "Par Avion" was haunting when I first heard it on the album, even more so than "Taken In." When it showed up used in such deeply impactful visuals in this episode-especially those slightly slowed few seconds of Sonny before fade to black -it became one of those songs for me to very carefully choose to play cos it will open the floodgates more often than not. Thank you, Marty.

    Thanks, Marty. The opening theme is Jan in fun, light-hearted relaxed-mode. It's nice to see Sonny and Rico's office desks not taken over by computers, lol. I know that they had a central computer elsewhere in the office. Too bad about the airline girl. I can't remember if she agreed to mule the drugs in, or if she was forced into it. It's just terrible. The song is heartbreaking, nicely used in this section of the episode. Thanks.

    Great piece, I really enjoyed the visuals of Crocket's fashion style in the clip, I had a pair of the trousers during the Eighties, couldn't wear them now, more suited to a warmer climate unlike the weather in the UK.

    Thanks, Marty. This was a solid episode. James Remar was good in the first '48 Hours' film, and he did well here on the small screen. There's another recurring theme in this ep (underscoring the mother on the run) where Jan creates a sad, melancholic atmosphere in which he tries to make sense of things.

      Yeah, that piece has become known as 'Dorothy's Theme' over the years online and was remixed and re-used by Jan in a lot of episodes. I loved Remar in Showtime's 'Dexter' too.
