Yeah that is true. I forget if that was the land that the airport was looking at or not, but they do seem determined to waste money, errr move the rental car facility over to the airport. I wish they would have picked it up and expanded the airport or added cargo/Amazon but I am not sure there is any interest there. They do seem to be holding everyone hostage but I feel like in the end, they will move the team to Brook Park and the city's proposal will be their "we tried but they are the bad guys" move. Ultimately, I think it would be better for everyone to keep the team downtown, redevelop the Lakefront and then use the land near the airport to expand the airport or other economic development in that area but I guess we will see what happens. Worst case (but I have little confidence in the city) is that the Browns move to Brook Park, no one wants to pay to re-route ramps or I-71, so traffic there is a mess, the airport master plan continues to drag out and we end up with some sort of shopping/housing on the current stadium plot, and Burke stays open. Hopefully, everyone is more proactive and we can look back at this as a win for everyone.

Yeah it is crazy rare around here to see one. I still think the -9 looks best but it is still fun to see one around here.

D probably wouldn't work unfortunately. It was built for RJ aircraft when CO had the hub here and the largest aircraft it can handle are 737s. I wish I knew what kind of shape it is in on the inside since its been closed for nearly about a decade now. We would need a larger customs facility to be able to process them. However, this is addressed with the master plan so hopefully it gets approved and the airport will be better able to handle them. It was pretty wild seeing a 787 parked at C this morning. Concourses A, B and C have widebody capable gates and at one point the airport did have regular widebody gates so it is possible.

@@NickFliesMedia hmm. Concourse A and B could be used as international gates, the side where frontier uses could be where other airlines park there a321 neos. Frontier could move down to concourse D, most of there aircraft are a320s anyway and is closer to there crew hub. United, American, JetBlue and Alaska can stay where they are. aer lingus moves up to concourse A while delta, southwest and sun country use the gates closer to Concourse C. Customs is also at concourse A so it’s closer

It was an epic weekend at CLE with the diversions. I feel bad for the passengers affected by it but a real treat for everyone who was there!

I typically just go to the garage at CMH since it gives you a nice overview of the airport and terminal, but I know there are some areas around the airport that get you some better photos of them taking off and landing

I agree lol. I don't understand why they didn't paint the engines. The blue cowlings are the reinforcements that Boeing/Pratt came up with after the one 777 had an uncontained engine failure a few years ago at Denver

I am glad DUB1 is back to being a regular. We went awhile without it this year. The audio was an experiment for this one. I got a new module so I can plug in multiple mics and wanted to try plugging in the scanner. I just have to turn it down a little bit more and also replace the mic I was using for voice overs because it gets overloaded pretty easily.

Yeah it was. They were back to back too coming in about 10 mins apart.

I ended up at Aviator. I wasn't sure which runway they would use because 24R was closed most of the day but fortunately opened in time for the 777s.
