started a first timer session with my cousins, and had an old man hire them for farm chores ... instead of taking the hooks or delving more into mystery, they decided to role play doing farm chores for n hour and we had to leave .... i learnt that day... as a dm... players seldom do what you plan for them

Where’s you get the stat block? I’ve always wanted a Dragon who could cast more than the assigned spells. It just feels on brand for long lived creatures who hoard wealth, including arcane wealth.

The painting that you did was different then usual. More light colors not your usual, but it looks good, the monster craft was cool!

I like characterization with traits. I created a tool with like 150 traits and seven statements from the character's perspective per trait, that chooses randomized statements and lists the traits they come from. When I GM I want to have everyone pick ten statements.

Yeah we almost had a TPK on this fight too 😭 luckily the Druid was able to make it out and finish the zombies.

I loved the brief explanation. Could you do a longer form video going more in depth into the different “keys” and “gates”? I have an idea for a longer term campaign, but I’m pretty much free forming everything anytime I run it. No acts, and no idea how to get the players from one place to another without railroading which is why I improv everything. I’d love to hear more concepts on what makes a key and gate and how you get different paths.

I appreciate that you call 15th level high level. I am running a west marches rn and base level is 13 most people are reaching 20+ (We got some homebrew for high teir) So I saw 15th level and was like, oh nice something for the low end.

Im a new DM and an artist, and yet the idea of drawing my maps on paper was so daunting. I wanted to add all this detail and extra features but the truth is they just ..need to know what they're looking at and make it legible. Idk why it was so hard for me to break down visually. With your help here you have NO idea how much you changed my prospect on how to illustrate my maps. You've helped me so much.

Ephemeral items may actually make things worse for the items. If you use it or not, you lose it, leading to people believing it to not be useful no matter what happens, so they may never even take the items.
