I used to watch KTZO Channel 20 out of San Francisco while stationed at Mill Valley AFS in 1984 and 1985. That TV station had a library of movies made by 20th Century-Fox from Hollywood’s Golden Age. Great viewing from way back when. One of the movies I caught and taped was THE LONG HOT SUMMER (1958) with Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Lee Remick, Anthony Franciosa, Orson Welles, and Angela Lansbury.

Darren was so great in this role. A shame the tv show didn’t follow the same successful formula of the movies. Dan Curtis definitely lended his horror expertise to the films.

Now I'm 44 years old I NOW FULLY GET THESE SKITS AND FRITZ IS ONE OF THEE COOLEST CHARACTERS EVER!! A LIVING LEGEND!!! THE JAZZ MUSIC THE OWL LOOK THE NITE LIFE OBSESSION. MAN THIS DUDE WAS SO AHEAD OF HIS TIME AND FIT PERFECT FOR THE TIMES AT THE SAME TIME!

Who else immediately thought of Fritz the nite owl after watching the movie Late nite with the Devil!? The whole theme with the owls and nite owl 🦉 persona!? I can't help to think they got their idea from this! This was my whole childhood watching the Nite owl theater with Fritz! Man i have so many good memories from this show ... The nostalgia is off the charts watching these CZcams videos with Fritz. I'm so happy to know he's still out there still a faithful Ohioian and Member of the city of Columbus (my birth city and where i shared many wonderful memories with family in the city. He's still up there 900ft up on the 10tv Tower doing what niteowls do!! We will always have a special place in our hearts for you Fritz!! Thank you for all the wonderful memories and nostalgia!!

All right you finally found that promo commercial from December 1994 but they shown Red Sonja (1985 Movie) Creatures the world forgot (1971 Hammer movie) Atlantis the lost continent (1961 Movie) and The Minotaur wild beast of Crete (1960 Movie) but they didn’t shown The Beast Of Hollow Mountain (1956 Movie)!

Big thank you for this. When Zacerly left Chiller Theater, folks in the NYC market were shortchanged when it came to horror hosts. Sadly Creature Feature just wasn't going to happen in our one TV household. I can remember kids talking about it in school.

Really this creepy old man thought she wanted him. They could have had her sing better songs, what she sang was dry as dirt. Yes some people like it.
