Hi, I'm David with RemodelMedia.tv and since 2005 I've been helping homeowners just like you plan their kitchen, bath, outdoor kitchen, and various other home renovation projects. I've seen a lot of mistakes and it is my goal to help you start the renovation process right. My biggest problem with most DIY and remodel shows is that they only show one design at a time and people don't realize how many more options they have.
In this channel I hope to not only educate you about the various aspects of the remodel process, but introduce you to products and style you might not see anywhere else.

I live in Roswell NM. We have the hardest water in the country. Our water is used by water heater manufacturers to estimate the heater going out the day after the warranty. That being said, we keep our 3.5 gpr toilets and the flappers last several years, lol
$38 a sqf installed last week near FarmVille Va. awesome deal and I LOVE it! ✌️🫶🌞
Paused at 0:20 to guess: HE'S LIVING IN A VAN, DOWN BY THE RIVER!
I like this video. It was veryy informative. The presenter is thoughtful and knowledgeable. A lot of crappy tuub materials out there. So I don't know what is a great qualityy tub. Can't evevn count on cast irron anymore apparently
Thanks for the video. Now I know not to get a Toto as bleach is my preferred cleaner
I've seen some under mount sinks that get gross where the countertop and sink meet. Is one revel easier to keep clean than the other? This is something I had never considered until now.
I bought a 4 year old house and the polished chrome bathroom hardware had been badly marred because previous owner has been using an abrasive scouring pad to clean the faucets. So, I vote NO on barkeepers friend or any other cleaner that uses abrasives. I don’t know how messy people let their sink areas get, but it just seems like overkill to scrub/scour your faucet and put scratches on them. In my experience, you just need a microfiber cloth and a high quality ph balanced cleaning liquid solution and your faucets will be immaculate like the day you bought them. Worst case scenario hard water stains can usually be removed with a magic eraser sponge.
I have a friend who converted a PEX crimp tool into a PEX press tool by carefully filing off the end of the tool. Does anyone know of a video of somebody doing this? I asked my friend to share with me how he did it but he's not reliable on replying back in a timely manner.
Thank you for valuable information, I learned some important tips 🥰
My brother in Christ is your mic filter litterly a whisk lol
That's so funny, my flappers (5 toilets) are all over 10 years old with 1 at 15 years, and still working fine! Not sure where you get they have to be replaced every year! @3:09
If you're not worried about water flow restriction or installation speed or cost, why not use PEX B? When is it better to use PEX B over PEX A?
This was very helpful. Thanks so much.
I bought this unit yesterday. Is there a lent trap that I need to empty after every wash and dry? I can’t seem to find where it is. Please advise if you have the unit and know the answer.
Can you recommend a shower mixer unit that supports the well-being of an air source heat pump, please?
Thanks. I was about to walk away from the Toto in my shopping cart after reading reviews complaining about CEFIONTECT.
Glad I could help 😊
Your videos bring awareness to the industry. Being an interior designer, your videos give me things to think about. I appreciate your knowledge!!! Keep them coming!!!
This is the greatest compliment I could receive. Thank you 😊.
Question! Have you ever seen a fridge/freezer combo that was side by side but the freezer was just as wide as the fridge? Often when my husband and I look at appliances, the freezer is a third the size as the fridge side and bending down to the freezer just makes my knees want to give out. Any recommendations? Also, do you recommend fridges that are flush behind a wall or is that more of a mold/mildew hazard than anything?
With my 148cm gf there is an easy solution. She fills the lower shelves, and I put my things in the top shelf.
Yeah, that was not helpful. Read the manual you say. Well, the manual says not to use acid like citric or vinegar, no abrasives, etc. So how exactly are you supposed to remove lime scale from hard water. They just decided to say... you're on your own.
I like bar keepers friend personally
@@RemodelMedia Yeah, well if a magic eraser is too abrasive then barkeepers friend is too... also considering BKF is oxalic acid based I'm sure Toto wouldn't approve. That's what I mean. Someone needs to come out with some scientific testing and NAME products to clean these toilets that have lime buildup. Ok, so Toto has updated their FAQ about hard water buildup. This is the first time I am seeing from them that you can use full strength vinegar to remove lime. WHAT'S THE SAFEST WAY TO REMOVE HARD WATER STAINS FROM MY CEFIONTECT PRODUCT? The tips below are for any TOTO china product (including CEFIONTECT): Hard water marks are composed of minerals from the water supply. They will not dissolve using bleach or detergents. It takes a slightly acidic cleaner like vinegar or a lime dissolving cleaner to remove the minerals. Neither of these cleaners will harm the CEFIONTECT finish. You can use vinegar or lime dissolving cleaner and a non-scratch scour pad made for porcelain. Allow a little contact time to allow the cleaner to dissolve the buildup. If the stain at the waterline in your toilet bowl persists, you may need to remove some water from the bowl. Then reapply the vinegar or lime dissolving cleaner AT FULL STRENGTH. Removing the water prevents the solution from being diluted.
I like your microphone.😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
🎤 🫡👏👏👏
Pressure toilets are nasty. When you flush them they spray a vapor of filth from the bowl do to the jet like flush.
Yeah do you have your own spot in the laundry room.....or house.??
Love this. Great idea
I bought "everything in between". Good quality, and still somehow affordable - considering that we buy those things very seldom.
30 minute wait? Kinda defeats the purpose of a microwave, eh? 😂 This may sound harsh but, having a childless home, I really hate child-proof appliances. But, I guess this one at least gives you the option to bypass it (I wish they ALL did). Having worked for years in retail, I know you are right... the average consumer will be baffled and p!$$ed off that their brand new microwave won't open as it's holding their food hostage and they're getting hangrier and hangrier... Hopefully they have good customer service call centers.
After viewing your video......I still do not know how to operate this machine. I want info on the how to wash buttons.
Please define gel based cleaner. Thanks
I would've liked more info about the composite sinks. For the others, you mentioned whether they stain, chip, scratch, how hard it is to clean them, etc. Nothing on the composites.
Hey there! My husband and I are in the process of choosing countertops for our kitchen. In another video, you mentioned Lowe’s having some sensa granite on sale. It is back on sell. I like the Siberia. Have you seen that in a kitchen? Is another name for Sensa Siberia Pitaya? It gets confusing! The delicatus is pretty but is probably too busy for my small kitchen.
My plumber did our whole house with Uponor a with crimp rings. I want to add a water line and replace a couple shut offs. Can I use Pex B adapters and rings with Uponor a? I have the clear uponor pipe.
Thanks for the help.
It absolutely has to do with water amount too
Good presentation
Thank you so much! Finally, a straight forward answer.
Awesome, thanks for this info! One additional follow-up...I've read the Vespin II is basically a skirted version of the Drake. If I can't find stock locally of the concealed trapway model, would this be my next best option then if I don't want an exposed model?
You heard correctly. Here is a link to the Vespin if you need it. amzn.to/4aFBwUT
Where do you find the Drake with the concealed trapway that you mentioned and showed a picture of @ 8:20? I have looked all over the Toto website and can't find it
Toto’s Drake with concealed trapway is discontinued…now what? czcams.com/video/t6tvLJNh_2U/video.html
Like the KISS aspects of this instructional video. Refreshingly direct answer.
Please help- I need to get a good alcove tub for my remodel from home depo. I tried the delta 500, i was shocked when i unboxed it was so cheap like paper. I returned it. Then i rdere kohler elmbrook but the drain kit has a cable, and i read that if that fails you have to remove the tub. I cant believe how many Kohler tubs in the $1000 range has poor reviews. I really liked the Kohler Underscore, so pretty but read comments how light spots and prine to cracking? rediculous.
Nice review and wrap up
Sigma concealed tank
How about bathroom sinks and (acrylic) bathtubs? Are they also sensitive like a TOTO toilet? I have a toilet and bathtub from TOTO and sink from Kohler, all bought in 2023. Thanks.
What’s up with that egg beater??
This should answer your question How a mistake by a noob and free swag turned into a symbol for something pretty great czcams.com/video/OEGNcSjkJGs/video.html
Caulk talk!
😂😂😂
It's doesn't really matter it doesn't have a overflow as there is a massive shower drain under it on the floor.
What about the pex lawsuits? What about the pex cracking , tube, clamps, and fittings due to the chemicals used to clean the water.
Is this the company that builds La Cornue?
Great video sir, but one question, regardless of price what are the most reliable Kitchen Sink Faucets? (Taking in account hard water) 😊
❤ In my dreams! Thanks for the tour anyway!
