What’s the ride height? How can I get mine down to 19mm?
One way would be to put tubing in the shock. Nitro tube. Cut it to your desired length. Hope that helps l.

Shock is 40 . Can't remember the diff. Let me see what other people are using. Really can't remember sir.

I used to love slot car racing years ago. Even did some drag racing in NJ in the 70's. I moved to Maryland and I would have to make an all day trip just to 'possibly' race. IOWs they may or may not be open or closed or moved or whatever. I gave up. 😟😟

Like how many you guys use? How many above the hub/steering block or how many below? Thanks again man, love the content.

@smokeyflapjack usually. I add shims on top or below to mKe sure the ride hight is suitable and that the pin looks good on both sides. Hope that helps. I appreciate it so much man. I really do!.

I have a tto2 I just built what all do I need to race ? I have some 2s packs and a radio. Just didn’t know if there was anything specific
@savagetoastness at RCCA we make a few changes to the car. Add bearings Gravity tires 25t pinion Front CVD I think all of this is sold at the track shop if you are missing something.

@@Savagetoastness yeah that’s a hike, I’m a good hour away. If something goes sideways typically if the shop doesn’t have the part someone has a spare and will help out to get you back up and racing again. Wednesday nights and racing starts at 7 but you will want to try to get up there at least an hour early to get some practice in.

I love slot car and have since I was a kid. While I appreciate the detail, looks and peformance of these slotcars, this particular facet of the hobby is boring AF. Sorry, but they spend more time cleaning the track than racing. Way more skill required to win a full on track race with multiple laps.

I like, everyone starts at the same time, it forces everyone to race clean. The ones that consistently don't will be blackmailed by all the other drivers. Normally everyone respects that and doesn't like getting treated like shit, in the future.lol.

Most of those cars are beautiful. This is going to sound dumb, but wouldn't it be more fun if the cars went slower? You know, closer to scale speeds? So you could see them go?

@@DabbleRcfukna I wouldn't disagree with you there. When I was young, I played with the AFX slot cars, and actually enjoyed my slower, older style cars, as opposed to the "G Force" or whatever they were called. They had stronger magnets and I could hold them wide open around the track, but it kind of took the fun out of controlling the cars.
@hugejohnson5011 no. It's about reaction and making a quick-as-you-can-pass. Don't worry about the body. The way the track is made. The current cuts off and there is heavy sticky glue towards the end.
