A trip to Doncaster in the twilight hours on 23rd May 2024 in search of freight proves fruitful, with Classes 66, 68 & 69 all to be seen. Also of interest in this video are empty passenger stock moves to and from Craigentinny, Barton Under Needwood and Doncaster Carr IEP Depot.

You managed to film a great selection of trains. My wife and I are travelling to Manchester at the end of October from Newcastle, but I was hesitant in booking the direct TPE service, so instead booked the LNER train to Doncaster, then the TPE over to Manchester. For the two of us, the TPE journey lasting 1hr 22 mins was going to be £11.60, second class, but first only £3.40 extra, at £15.00. It was too good an opportunity to miss, we have never travelled first class before .. I hope it's good.
You probably made the right choice Brian, TPE's service has been, shall we say, 'patchy' at best! Fingers crossed all runs according to plan for you and I'd say a wise choice to book first class on the TPE leg from Doncaster; the southern Transpennine route is frequently overcrowded in 2nd between Doncaster and Manchester.

The 67 is still there: the 195/331 has moved and the 73 has been relocated and is coupled on to a scotrail MK3. Great vid btw!
