I've removed the draws that were in the kitchen to make room for this lovely set. I couldn't be more happier they are working perfectly together at last!

After many years thinking about it I've decided to give miele a whirl and I couldn't be happier with both of them. They are so quiet and wash so well! Hopefully they will last me a long time.

A quick swap around in the kitchen. WM54 put away and WM53 back for a good run. Set on a cottons 95 with Surf for a good run through.

My Hotpoint WM54. I did originally buy this for so pares as it was cheap, but it's in really good condition so it's been installed with the DF61 to see how it goes for now. I still have my WM53 in storage for now. just need to brighten the detergent draw somehow?! anyone who could offer advice greatly appreciated! thanks for viewing.

Having a look around my local BHF and found this DF61 dishwasher and had to have it! I know it's not a perfect match for the WM53 but it's good enough for me.

First proper test for my new dryer. After a thorough clean and de fluff it dried 2 bath sheets 1 hand towel and 2 flannels and bathmat in 50 mins. Quicker than my modern logic condenser I have 😂

I thought I would do a little update on the WM25 as you can tell the bearings are worn but not too bad yet. I am going to repair this when I have time so don't worry! just thought I would get it out of storage and give it a good few runs as I missed it!

I'd say the 1980's Hotpoint front loaders are my preference. Might consider getting a 9530 myself. I somehow prefer them to the others.
Not my preferred Hotpoints, just by appearance really. A matching old washer and dryer is a rarity now to be honest.

I put the WM53 in. I'm waiting for a white TL51 to be delivered today so they all match. Just need to find a tl21 or tl22 now hopefully!

@declanmarsh7398 almost 3 when I find a nice TL21 or TL22 then 3 sets. Currently got the 95's and the WM sets now

9530 and 93730 miele under stairs and no I don't like it really any more. Got the miele dishwasher in though until I find a 78 series like a 95 dishwasher.

This would be my absolute dream to have Barbara with her matching 9320 like this. Plus the A3060 with the D6042.. Really nicely showcased Chris, fantastic set and they look so good together!

I am thanks. Yes I do just never found a reliable one. Had them years ago and drums just snapped or baerings wouldn't last after changing them.

How you finding the miele. What made you go for it lol
Worried that I wouldn't like it when I got it but I'm pleasantly suprised and I love them both. I watched loads of videos and they look nice and from what I could see always washed well. Got one at work and it's had some right hammer and coped brilliantly so decided to get them both. Plus I was worries about depth of them but they fit perfectly under my counter so happy all around lol
@HotpointWM52 well I hope it serves you well as very expensive make. They seem good just avoid the twindos models.. if something happens tho you know you got 3 wm hotpoints that you can haul back in lol

I still have my vintage machines. I'm getting rid of the WM 25 but keeping the fascia etc for spares as I physically haven't got time to spend sorting it out unfortunately

No it's not. I've just uploaded a new video. Don't worry I've still got it and won't be getting rid of it haha.
I remember the Casatta distributing REALLY unbalanced and indeed handling the same way as this. Same can't be said for the 9530 though haha

Do you know what I would happily have this right now grew up with 9636 and first edition after that they would sort out of balance out straight away I love my LG but bath mats ,dressing gowns , trainers , a mixture of Heavy and light items and it’s thrown off spin or takes ages to spin makes me nuts going to get a 2nd hand spin dryer at this rate 🙈😂

My mum had WM63 in silver which sounds same motor as this WM54. Smart looking Hotpoint mate, if there still making any of these Hotpoint machines, i would've brought WD62 or same as this but washer dryer

No wired the WM20 back on to the WM23 for a change. Need to sort the motor though still playing up

@declanmarsh7398 no still got them they arnt going anywhere. Yes still have the boards etc for it. Just fancy a change so swapped them over

Suspension definitely seems bit more worn on this compared the wm53. Still handles incredible well tho. You managed to do the bearings on the wm 25?
No I gave up my told broke and currently its in bits in storage not sure what to do with it
@HotpointWM52 old that's a real shame. All washers you got now (working). Are WM 23, WM 53, WM 54 WMA 52 and 9530. Have I missed any out?

Wow handles like a tank tho and love the pump is chugging too. Now imagine a modern hotpoint/indesit spinning that. So happy to see this machine on spin as been a long while
It does handle it well it always shocks me when it starts unbalanced then just gets on with it haha
@HotpointWM52 I bet haha but expected with these machines lol. Although the wm 53 seems to be most well behaved at moment.

No I've got the wm23 and matching dishwasher in at the moment

@@HotpointWM52 haha they all unique in their own ways, although what amazing about the wm 53 is you found it brand new unused. And it has 1200 rpm rather than 1000.

Hi Chris, only just seen your description now regarding the WM53 drawer. Have you tried using Retrobrite? I've heard it's pretty good for plastics and I believe it's ok with the text (IE it won't fade or corrode it). I know someone who used it on an earlier WM31 and it did a good job
Be nice to see both the wm 54 and wm 53 together at some point if possible
