You're right, this game has stood the test of time. This is a beloved classic, and one that I'll play again and again and again. I won't dare to speedrun it, but on my next playthrough I will use the warps since it had been a while since I warped. This is such a great game!!

I read a story awhile that the chain chomp enemies were originally created by Shigeru Miyamito because he had a nearby dog on a chain leash scare shigeru while trying to run and bite after shigeru as a child while shigeru was walking home from school. If that story is true, thats wild.

The lava I'd instant defeat in sewers unlike area 3 when you fall in sewers. Area 5 is where game is really brutal as well as area 6th and final. When I compare area 3 to rest of game area 3 is like a mercy compared to later areas.

You're right though. The technodrome is random. You are a walking library of retro history and knowledge like Mr Rogers meets retro games

I hated the underwater bomb diffusing. As a kid, in the only time I got past that part I was down to my last turtle with only one or two hits left.

This game is among the ranks of the notoriously difficult NES games. I never did beat it as a kid, actually! But now that I have Cowabunga Collection, I'm giving it another go, and with the save feature...I think I may have a chance at beating it🤣

I always respected this game for what it brings to the table. I love the Turtles beat ‘em ups, but this game was different. I wish we would get a modern remake of this game!

This was a hard level especially making sure you have enough missles for those barricades
