Just before i started taping this the eagle attacked the heron while it was in the water.
These guys show up every time I come in from fishing. Seals looking for a handout.

It appears there is only one crab who realizes the peril they are all in. The rest just try to get at the food.
I heard you banging on the boat a few times to get their attention...but I'm surprised you didn't try to speak whale to them (a-la Dory) "Hellllllooooo, howwwww arrrre yoooouuuu?" 🤣😂

Thank you for sharing - you were privileged and blessed and I don't believe these magnificent giants would ever hurt you. They were having quite a meeting as apparently that is how they communicate (*the wing slapping). This is a gift - with you forever in your mind. Lucky you.
Curious about the box that you mounted the s5 on, is it commercially available?
Honestly, as an Indigenous person, I cannot get over this. You must be a spiritual person with good vibes b/c they just do not do this for everyone. Also, it makes me very emotional spiritually. I am 48 and am just get ready to move up there after working to make this dream happen for years. I am an Indigenous activist for 32 years. I am just wanting to reach out and say that I have lived in Seattle for 15 years in related waters to B.C. and had NEVER SEEN AN ORCA OR A WHALE!! Everyone else does. And I am only five minutes from the beach!! I am so in love with these whales. They showed you a lot of love and they were waving to you and everything. When I got there I did a whale watching trip which was incredible, but I got motion sick on the boat which was just going back and forth like crazy and I had no dramamine. I saw some Orca and Gray Whales and that made me cry, but it was very far away and I felt I did not get close enough. I wanted to commune with them more. My dream is to have an experience like you had. I do not regret it. However, your footage really makes me feel like I was right there. I am really touched by this spiritually and this was such a Great Gift Creator gave you. Love and Peace, Rebekah

Ron Tafoya I contacted Derrick he said his boxes are 8 inches. For this type of boat from what I understand about 6 to 8 inches would work great. I contacted shockwave about height and they said this: That riser height would put you at 20" from the deck without a seat (S5 is 8" high). Your seat may add about 4" depends on your seat. You would have to do the math depending on your boats helm set-up and where you want to be sitting for the best sight line.
@@Mrscottyboy4 Thanks for the info. Im looking to instal on a 2004 Hewescraft sportsman 180. My boxes are 6'' tall. My seat right now sits , from floor to top of cushion, 17"

Wow, Derek, that was absolutely WONDERFUL! I was exclaiming throughout the whole video. What an amazing experience to be right there, with the thrill of being able to capture it on 'film' to re-live later, and share with others! Just LOVED this! Thank you so much! Rock crab was like "Damn y'all crazy! I'll sit here and hope one of you guys poop in my face so I cam eat without getting my face bitten off."

Bullet Proof Fishing I just sold my old boat and picked up an old 22' Fiberglass Lund called gypsy blue. Right now it's white, but she will be lime green in a couple weeks. Good luck, see you out there.
