It will be interesting to see the failure rates on the S&S DCR after they've sold 50,000 of them and some real miles have been accumulated. Right now, they only offer a two year warranty (no mileage). So if I put one in and only drive 10K miles in 2-1/2 years, the warranty is no longer in effect. It sure seems like a very short warranty. If they really thought it was that good, I think they would have offered a five year warranty.

S&S recommends leaving the plastic stock fuel filters as they do not rust when you get water in your diesel. The cans on the Fass system can rust. S&S has a video out about it.

What’s the labor cost on a 22?

Would love to see the 1 year update on how the shop truck is holding up. Loved the other video of how the DCR handled the water contamination on the other truck but curious to see how this one is doing

Even S&S themselves recommends against aftermarket lift pumps. They have a video on it on their page where a FASS "water separator" rusted and nearly ruined another fuel system.

We have changed to the DCR fuel pump my original pump failed and split in two. Also added the fass fuel pump and under hood filter fass delete kit. Question the engine will not crank with the ignition key. The started will turn the engine over when jumped at the starter. Any suggestions what could be causing the no crank? No codes on the scanner. Thanks

I'd stay away from fass filters if they are the new MicroGlass filters. The micro glass breaks down and gets pushed through the pump.

How much it cost to fix that blowby?

Getting one installed on my 2020, they should have a recall on these or at the very least have Ford install these S&S standard in every truck. It’s a $15K dollar failure…. There should be a class action or something…. It’s ridiculous after 100K miles on a diesel engine. Smh. Great video and informative. Thanks guys

I am on the second DCR pump both where making a nocking noise

It’s kinda funny they made this engine when even the V6 has more torque and horsepower

I have the P228F, P0088 and every other startup, it says “reduced engine power” but it runs fine. All started when I replaced the fuel filters and had a air leak because of the pinched oring seal. Could it be possible that there is an air pocket still in there?
