    I've always been struck by the huge gap between Nietzsche the edgy, bombastic writer and Nietzsche the soft-spoken, polite, gentle guy (as he was in real life). I've been re-reading his philosophy, and what's striking is just how HUMAN he was. He suffered tremendously and needed to come up with a philosophy that would affirm his suffering. He was stifled by his religious upbringing, so he had to get rid of God; he NEEDED God to be dead (did he actually, truly, believe this? Or was he trying, and failing, to convince himself?). He would've been a very interesting person to sit down and chat with. I also often wonder what his madness was like (now believed to be due to a brain tumor). Was it real? Was it some sort of spiritual state beyond all duality, "Beyond Good & Evil"? Or was he brilliantly trolling everyone?

    it's like the zodiac people, sorry I am a bit an a**hole cause I am Aries or whatever, they use Nietzsche as an execuse for their behavior, while infact if you read to people who met Nietzsche, they will say he is the must humble and nicest person. His phyliosophy is all about accepting life as it is and overcoming you own limitation, being nice to other people is just a human nature as a social animal, nothing anti nature in being a civlized person, also Nietzsche is a debater so ofcourse he is gonna be mean to other peoples ideas how else is he gonna make a critic, gosh people really needs something to hate just so they can feel smart without even trying to understand. As a next step if you really wanna understand Nietzsche, read Carl Jung.

    • @dmvoz6263
      @dmvoz6263 Před 9 měsíci

      Personally I find the answer in a human itself. You may not consciously know, what is it that you value. But your body knows. When you're doing things, you may have different sorts of feelings about what you've done. And actually you can imagine, what would it feel like, if you, for example, got into a relationship, made a friend, learned new skill, called to a loved one or whatever. Those are just examples, but people are the same in some ways. In "Crime and Punishment" the character consiously creates his theory, kills a person and his body respondes poorly. Because in most of us killing is against our nature, no need to rationalise or invent new values. You can just imagine, what it would feel like. Therefore, you can follow the things that give you a sense of meaning (not that it just gives pleasure, but that you can also say that it is good for you, or at least don't cause harm to yourself or anyone else).

    • @marine76a
      @marine76a Před 4 měsíci

      What makes nihilism correct? Because any philosophical perspective can be argued away it is never truth. It is a soft science that has tried to standardize logical thought. However, there is a danger of being molded by a way of thinking that is pointless. A way of thinking is not true its a way to categorize things personally.

    i haven't read much of nietzsche except parts of antichrist, human all to human and daybreak. I would say that the only way religion ruins smth is when the religious person has religion and only religion in his mind and life. That is a kind of a wasted existence, not that it is harmful tho. Nietzsche (based in my small knowledge and understanding of him) is just overreacting about religion, ethics and virtue. I think the problem he has is that religion and "decadent" philosophers like schopenhauer put living based on "Gods will" or some sort of "objective morality" as the highest virtue possible. He instead thinks that virtue should be based on whatever improves us. But yeah i would agree that he is definitely a narcissist and too much when speaking about religion/ethics/virtue

      but this - if it is in fact so - does not necessarily lead into authoritative harmful action against the herd. i think the point is rather that the 'herd' distinction is a vital strategic one because said herd will more often than not, as history has shown, be willing to snitch you out to the authorities and/or get you cancelled should their tribalist non-questioned conformity be threatened. as such, the 'herd' distinction is merely a strategy for self-preservation. you need to be able to accurately map the territory before you.@@disposablehero1235

    The audacity you have to post a video misinterpreting Nietzsche to this degree sickens me. To call his philosophy "life denying" is literally the antithesis of everything he stood for. His whole project is concerned with the affirmation of life, which means that he himself is completely opposed to nihilism - in fact he calls it a sickness, a disease. It just irritates me when people such as yourself speak about things they know nothing about.

    The is literally the biggest misunderstanding and misinterpretation of Neitzche I have ever seen. First of all calling his philosophy 'life denying' is complete bs since Neitzche was actually as pro life as someone can be. He encouraged all of us to reach our full potential and to be as creative as possible. He argued however that many ethical morals which Christianity introduces prevent us from reaching this as they encourage a very weak and restrictive mindset disabling to enjoy and thrive in many things life has to offer. Also no man that talks about genocides and murder of millions should be labeled an a Neitzche fan since Neitzche never advocated murder or any form of oppression upon others in general which is why his connection with the Nazis is such a huge misconception and it seems that unfortunately you belong to mass that misinterprets him in such a way that connects him to violence which not only did he not promote but was strongly against. In addition simply refering to his statements and fans as 'edgy' is simply immature. Anyways I could go on to mention a variety of things that are completely inaccurate in this video but the point is you've made it quite obvious that you are in no position to criticize Neitzche as you do not understand any of his works or the meaning behind them.
