I never tried killing everyone off like this. I knew how you could kill everyone off, I just never killed all four of them off. I forgot how cool the sound effects were for the Guardian of the Sphinx when it happened. Props to Matthew Kane for the sound effects and Chris Grigg for the sound program.

Holy cow! I know this game since my childhood, but had no idea you can do that to Sushi. Early LucasFilm Adventures were kind of cruel against pets. Putting Eds hamster into the microwave in Maniac Mansion and here it's Sushi.

This is for sure some of the best graphics on the C64 for its time. Sachs abandoned the game to work on Defender of the Crown on Amiga. I hope he will someday return to his roots and finish Time Crystal.

I didn't even know Fate of Atlantis had a demo version! There were demos for Sam & Max, Full Throttle, and The Dig on a bunch of LucasArts game CDs, but I've never seen this one before. Maybe they just didn't port the demo to Macintosh.

If you grab the ladder after leaving the rats nest, the rat never jumps you and steals the reactor. saves a good 5 minutes.

This looks like it's using the driver that automatically converts to CGA, which explains why it looks even more awful than most CGA graphics. There are a lot of things in here no human artist would have done.

Fascinating to me how series evolve. From this to ending at SWAT 4, the 90s and 2000s had so much to innovate with.

Grabbing the power pellet greatly slows down the enemies for a while. You want to dash for it early and then clear out the pellets on the lowest rows while everything is so slow, or they will never give you another chance to do it.

Bonus lives are given out at specific scores (5000, 15000, 25000 etc. I think it was). As enemies give more and more points in later levels, eventually they rack up quickly. Get more than fit on the screen, and the game begins glitching up, no new level starts after clearing out the enemies, and you just sit there until fuel runs out and you get a game over. This was the first kill screen I ever experienced.
