you seem happier. I'm glad. :)
Excellent work, loved the ongoing commentary & the inventory @ the end! Good work❣️🇨🇦
I love your videos. Thank you for introducing me the old glass bottles. I enjoy the increased knowledge of modern history you provide. FYI sputum is pronounced spyootum.
I love seeing the pieces you have have cleaned love your show , Blessings
Skipping through the vid, he’s knee deep in water. Expected to scroll to the end and catch him diving under to uncover treasures. 😂
Only a couple more months left of digging to find that human skeleton I predicted for 2024. lol. I guess this prediction is going to go down as "fail" and then I re-up that prediction in 2025. lol.
Amazing! Rk.
I would like to see a video of you cleaning up your finds and explaining more about them
Several of your descriptive titles were out of order beginning around 13:49
I feel like the content would be there for a second channel where you clean up the funds from each dig. It would be facinating to see the process and further insights that are revealed. ❤
Have you ever thought of bringing a "camping shower" along with you while traveling? Just to help you rinse off & clean up a little b4 getting in your car! Lol 😅
I usually just wash off my arms/face with a jug/bottle of water and change clothes.
Wow. You must have been exhausted. What a great pit. Congrats on finding all those hutch’s. I’m sure you were thrilled.
Just curious, have you ever opened one of the bottles that still has its original contents? Like the extract bottles? Do they still have the smell?
Many times and yes. I dug several root beer extract bottles a couple weeks ago that still smelled exactly like root beer.
Do you ever find uranium glass? The green bottle at 29:00 minutes looks like a winner to me!
Every once in a while.
Great video! And Congratulations on the "only known" example. Very, very cool. I've learned so much about my own collection that I inherited from my dad. His were mostly river bottom finds and finds when out mushroom hunting. Thanks for teaching us along the way...👍✌️
I have never seen you dig so many bottles in one hole.
I'm in La Crosse!!!!! How cool!!!!!!!
Are you back on Patreon?
I have fallen in love with hutch sodas Many Thanks for your INFORMATIVE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS!
Thanks for watching!
For the algorithms

The dark orange and green bottles shown at the end are incredibly beautiful colors❤
Tom I still say you need to get a small mud pump so when you run in to ground water alls you have to do is pump the water out and just keep digging.
I’ve tried with smaller pumps, even a pacer semi-trash pump and they all clogged very quickly with mud. It would have to be a very powerful pump which I would consider at some point but would have to get a bigger vehicle to haul it around.
Hey Tom, I love watching your videos on here and below the plants is anyone ever told you that you look like Tom Petty or Dwight Yoakam?
I’ve heard that before haha
Awesome finds!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your finds. Those pits really gave up some great artifacts.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Tom. I really relish your videos. Thank you 😊 UK.
Thanks for watching!
Another invigorating adventure 💪😎⚡
PIT BOSS strikes again! Legendary dig ✨
Just stopping by to leave a thumbs 👍😎.
I grew up digging on the iron range of Minnesota... Logging camps were a score and finding turn of the century dumps close to cemeteries was common. Venture north "History in a bottle" Showed my famous Aurora seltzer 💪😎
wow
Very curious Tom why you do not wear some kind of rubber gloves and waders when you see water like this. It is a mess and I would think very frustrating.
I sometimes do but it seems by the time I realize the pit is in the water table and is going to be worth digging, I’m already covered in mud.
What medium do you use to clean your bottles?
We need a go fund me to get you a water pump Tom, what a monumental dig, you definitely earned yourself a beer, that was brutal
Noodle any Catfish down there?
I watched an archeology team in Northern England dig up a very wet area right in an old town. They found intact leather shoes, clothing, organic materials from the Viking age. Even a braid of a girl's hair. Water definitely preserves.
Monster pit!
good dig! looks like they when thru a lot of liquor in a short time. always a Hayner in the bunch.
Man, that was some epic dig - I’m in awe of the urge that keeps you excavating in such horrendous conditions. Respect to you Tom Askjem!
Thanks for watching!
never seen a Hamm's soda bottle. cool.
Hunkered down in the Trenches.... Behind Enema Lines...... 😂 sorry Tom, that was immature
Tom I would so hate to do your laundry…lol thanks for another poo filled bottle dig!
What do you do with your bottles you find collect them all or sell some?
Some are kept, sold, given to the property owner and donated to museums. If no one is interested they’re thrown back
Hi Tom, so.....many bottles! Great dig!😊
For you to say, I’m tired is rare.
Nice!! Redemption with the wine bottle. You all need to get you a good sump pump. We don't mind if you don't finish them. We could always see the second part next week. It won't hurt our feelings. I don't know. I don't think it was done. But I don't blame you for ending it. Great day. Hope you're doing well. Take care.😊
We ended up abandoning it being the age didn’t get much better. If it had dropped into Dakota Territory era we would have spent a week out there if needed.
@@TomAskjem. completely understandable. It's hard for me to get used to early 1900s stuff. But it's as old as the stuff we were digging in the 60s. I mean at that time. I wasn't doubting you. Thank you for your response. See you next week.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you looked up perseverance in the dictionary your name would be listed as the best example! Love the cleaned finds you feature at the end of the vlog.
Thanks!
What a pit, and great reflexes to
Another baddle with 1 dot on the baddem , 1 here with 3 dats on daddem , one here no dots , another slick perscription baddle and another ect. Wake me up at the end please
