Thank you so much! I believe for the EBM you plug in an external crystal sync motor. It does have the built-in dial for crystal sync when selecting frame rates, but the motor is external. I have the TXM-11 from Tobin Cinema Systems. I think the TXM-24 works good too. I haven’t tried either though. I have been using an H6 Zoom and then just syncing in post.

@@misterthatman1493 You’re welcome! It is approximately $100 to get a 100 foot roll developed and scanned to digital for HD. If you want 4K it’s about $150. The best places I know are Fotokem and Spectra Film and Video in LA. They both have websites. Both do great jobs. Fotokem only does modern color negative though. If you have Ektachrome or expired film, Spectra is the go to. Looking forward to seeing some of your footage! Let me know when you post.

Thanks Max! Yeah, the registration is much smoother on the electrics. Other people have mentioned that also. It is a bit of a price jump. Good deals can be found though on EBAY and various other places though

Thanks Greg! I think you’re going to love the EBM. They shoot so smoothly. For metering, I use an old analog Sekonic light meter I purchased off EBay. Pretty much works right on the money. It has an extra steel grating filter to use when it’s really bright outside.

Hi rafael, I used an external Zoom H6 recorder to capture the sounds. Most of the time it was recording after I filmed the footage. Some of the time I had the Zoom H6 recording while the EBM was rolling. You can hear the motor slightly in some of the bird shots at the end. Sometimes I’ll leave the sound of the motor in because it’s kind of cool sounding, but other times just record sound separately from the footage and edit them together in post. You’ll love the EBM, they’re amazing! Let me know when you post some footage! Thank you, appreciate it :)
