The real Mach 5 ??? First, it's a fictional anime. 2nd... If it was real it would only have one rear view mirror on the passenger side front fender, not 2. 3rd... It would have 6 spoke wheels with 6 round holes in each rim according to the anime. It's a very nice replica but not accurate. There's more but I've made my point.

Kind of clueless really. These were built by Ford actually not their "rally team" in the Karmann factory in Germany. The engine was built in England. Body and mechanical parts come from the Sierra Cosworth 4x4 and the chassis has been shortened by 5cm in the Escort compared to the Sierra otherwise mechanically identical. This car is a "large turbo" variant in reality. It's a right hand drive car "converted" to left hand drive (battery fitted on the left hand side is the tell tale). Wheels are Compomotive TH, aftermarket. The car is actually 30 years old, not 20 (you could have worked that one out yourselves 2024-1994=30). SO you judged it's not scary just by pulling out of the parking lot and into the traffic jam? Boost looks stock (0.9bar) meaning you're close to 225bhp. Around the 1,5 bar mark (where most of these are tuned) it produces 320bhp and a (scary) 420Nm of torque (sorry not familiar with you foot, nose and finger units). It's good to change gears from time to time too. These cars were made for mountain roads not New York steets. Your bonnet looks unlatched.

Mallard Green, black leather, aircon, CD player, heated seats etc. Had it serviced at Walker Jacksons in Swindon by Richard, he fitted an ECU upgrade that took it to 275hp, fuelling/injector kits as it was the small turbo. #goodolddays

Love the car and the Compomotive wheels. Those are the exact same wheels that I plan on putting on my F54 Clubman. And yes, rally cars are the perfect daily drivers for NYC concrete jungle driving.
