Due to the rambly nature of this video as opposed to a scripted one, there are a few things I may have forgotten to mention or realize during filming. For starters, looking at my full list is making me realize just how incredible Nintendo’s games were this year. Metroid Prime, Mario RPG, and Kirby’s Return to Dreamland are some of the most beloved entries in Nintendo’s vast catalog. I can see why, I greatly enjoyed all of those games… so the fact that these remasters / remakes ended up LOWER than the brand new games Nintendo put out, I think that REALLY speaks to how great the 2023 originals are! I may not have played a large quantity of games in 2023, but the quality of each and every one I did play was on another level! Also, when I said there were secrets I looked up in Mario RPG, I was exclusively referring to extras. I never used a guide to progress through the main game, just to find a few hidden blocks and such.
