5:37 - best part of the video 😂
Definitely one of the best videos I have seen. Very simple to understand. Than you very much
Which is better 265LM or 265LH fishing in deep 50-150m
Whaww as tuis video ia 6 years ago woold i get answer ? I have tge need of such fishfinder so i am waiting for some brand and or model of those from you. Can you suggest me a fish finder that has the side vieuw that can reach up to 90 meters deep ans bot to be so expansive
I just got a Garmin 923xsv + Gt51m-tm and have never used it because I'm still abroad, my question is whether this unit can see fish on the seabed at a depth of 100 to 130m.
Hi From 12.22, you refer to boulders on LHS of the sidescan image. How can you differentiate between images of boulders and fish? Cameron
How do I get back to the home page. I just got back from Canada and I am back in the states and the Canadian lake is still on the screen. I don’t want to loose all the information on the Canadian lake I just to by pass it
This is probably the best instructional video on Sounders that I have seen! Thanks heaps!
Really great test. I’m looking to purchase TM265LM transducer which compatible with these 3 units : 1- Lowrance HDS7 Live (9 pin) two sonar ports “black & blue” 2- Garmin GPSMAP 547XS (8 pin) one sonar port 3- Garmin GPSMAP 743XSV (12 pin) one sonar port I understood TM265LM transducer has two sonar connectors. One for Medium frequency chirp & second for Low frequency chirp. I believe The TM265LM Transducer I can plug in directly to Lowrance HDS7 Live because its has two ports for work dual channels. But How I can plug TM265LM TO GARMIN GPSMAP 547xs & 743xsv for work dual frequency (Low&Medium chirp) note that my Garmin units have single port. Hope you to advise me which cables or adapters should I purchase to work with all three units If I would to use one of them.
no music when you are speaking please
Old skool
Great video!!!
In which scenarios would you use the down-imaging over the regular sonar?
that's what what looks like? fish around bait ball where? need some pointers.
a kereru? that was a kahawai
Hi.. could you tell how to adjust the RF power level and deviation on this radio? I didnt find on service manual and there is no trim pot inside .. I think is some panel function to get it. thanks
What are the settings used on the chirp sonar to achieve this clear picture? I own a GT51M and all I see is constant noise everywhere..
Just went back to Garmin manuals and at least 3 of the variables on Quickdraw could be interpreted at tidal offset. In this video, there is one (the correct one) "Recording offset". Thanks again.
*Well>>>**allabout.wiki/iz8t** Easy to install, easy to operate, with many of the same features as more expensive units. Way to go garmin!*
*The best thing a tournament fisherman can have. It works>>>**allabout.wiki/iz8t** Salt Dept is less then have of what they say. though*
*The lag time is basically null. Many other units we used>>>**allabout.wiki/fa7p** once you turned the boat it was as much as 3 seconds before the screen showed the change. With this unit it's almost instantaneous which is IMPERATIVE when cruising at night or in narrow areas.*
hello, how do you record screeshot video of your garmin sonar?(regular screenshot by pressing home button for 3seconds, but video i can't find it!) thx a lot!
Hi what scroll speed do you recommend in the deep water
Some of the best material I've seen on CZcams re fish finder basics.Well done.
Saltwater??
what is that at 5:53 ?
verry funny at 5:37
Stop the music!!
Just because you CAN use annoying music doesn't mean you SHOULD.
Very good vid. Lots of excellent info. Thanks a bunch for sharing!
Do you know if you can link 2 units togeather to share waypoints in same boat via cable?
Hi , what transducer are you using ?
Yep best description I've seen so far super helpful.
Thanks for the information very helpful
Great vid pish music and too loud
That was really helpful, thank you 😊. I have a Garmin I purchased from you and this helps 👍
Very nice, clear tutorial. The Garmin manual does not explain the depth offset very well. In most parts of the World the datum is Lowest Astronomical Tide, so the offset is depth of water (read off tide function on your GPS).
Same
What transducer mount is that ?
Don't use a song as background music...makes it difficult to hear the main message...
is this a music wideo?
Can you tell me how to record the images as you have done on this video. Thanks
do you know if this transducer can be connected to the 741xs?
Yep. You'll need an 8 pin adapter box. And depending on the software version, you may need to not connect the Xid wire and manually select B175L as the transducer type.
+BayMarineElectronics whats the part number for the box? 010-11613-00?
Yep
background music is too nasty to finish this film, too back I wanted to watch this
+john king I don't think anything will make you happy
Do you know when or if this will be available to download as upgrade for gpsmap 7412
+Ryan Taylor Hi Ryan. It's available now here: www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=8743
Hi, this is a great test... Now i'm purchasing a GPSMAP 7408 and i want to put a TM 265 LH and a GT 51. I would like to ask you if is possible to run both transducers at the same time .... thank you, have good time on the sea :)
+Davide What we normally do is hook up the TM265 through an 8 pin adapter box - just the low frequency, and use the 12 pin socket with the GT51. Then you can use the GT51 for shallow water use - up to 150M or so, and the TM265 for the deeper stuff.
+BayMarineElectronics Thank you very much for the answer. I didn't know that i needed an 8 pin adapter for hook up the transducers. But i didn't understand one thing, if in case i want to use the TM265 even for shallow water, ( cause of the better resolution than the GT51), can i switch to an high chirp frequency?
+Davide Normally the TM265 would be connected to the GPSMAP 7408 unit through the 12 pin socket. This allows you to connect both the high frequency and the low frequecy wires, but it uses the 12 pin socket, so you can't plug in the GT51. To get around this, we use the 8 pin socket, which you can hook up one frequency from the TM265, but not both. The GT51 is excellent for very shallow water use due to its wider beam width than the TM265, and the resolution is very good also. The TM265 High frequency is actually slightly better for medium depths - say 50M to 200M due to its narrower beamwidth, but both work very well from 20 to 150M
+BayMarineElectronics hii... thank you again, you have solved me a lot doubts..... now everything is more clear.
hello my name is Umberto , I purchased the GPSMAP 7407 with probe gt51m , I want to know how high the bottom reads , thanks
A decent video, but the music drowns out what the commentator is saying. Poor choice on adding music to the monologue.
thanks for the great start to broad bill fishing I look forward to trying the system and having fun
