I lived in A-I in 1984-1985. It hasn’t changed a lick, except our closets use to have wood grain doors and we had to bring our own microwave, mini-fridge, and TV. We were the “Hall with No Name.” I’m sure it has a name now. Our RA was chill. I still have my hall sweatshirt after 37 years. It’s a little small on me now. LOL. I don’t know if it’s good or bad that it hasn’t changed. Good, I guess. Even the bathrooms are the same. We never had hot water. I used to take my showers at midnight, thinking there’s be hot water. Nope. Go Highlanders!

First I’ve seen where someone watches their classes at 1:25 am. I work so much better during those hours as well because that’s when everyone in my hone is asleep and I have the freedom and peace and quiet. However I end up sleeping in late and getting made fun of for doing my work at night.

My only problem with the video is what are my options if I am a transfer graduate student? I would be completing my B.S. from a private university in Virginia, and coming back to my home state for graduate education. UCR is one of my top 5 list of potential graduate schools. My 5 in order is this 1) Baylor University, Waco TX 2) Liberty University, Lynchburg VA (Currently finishing up my B.S.) 3) The University of California, Riverside 4) The University of California, Irvine 5) Trinity Law School, Santa Ana CA

I cant believe I ended up in here after starting my first quarter.

Was there back in the 80's when the student population was a little over 5 thousand...way before Block Party, the new student recreation center, and most of the restaurants now there. We studied very hard , worked out like madmen (in the old school gym with metal weights/universal machines) and had a lot of fun! Saw some fun bands at The Barn as well as the nooners. Great people and programs...received a top notch education (most majors in Top 100 on US News and moving up fast). Amazed that there are now 25,000 students there and is projected at 40,000 soon! Fastest growing UC of ANY location for a reason! Go Highlanders!!

Used to be Tomas Rivera (Main Library) and Bio-Ag Library (now Orbach Science Library) for me back in the 80's when there were only around 5,000 students and only West Lothian (where I was) and Aberdeen and Inverness Dorms (A&I).
