Registrace 18. 12. 2017
Stratolaunch's mission is to advance high-speed technology through innovative design, manufacturing, and operation of world-class aerospace vehicles.
TA-1 First Flight
First steps are hard. They require careful planning, calculated risk, and most of all, courage. We took a daring first step earlier this month with the completion of TA-1’s first powered flight, reaching high supersonic speeds approaching Mach 5. The flight was a landmark moment on our path to providing our customers and nation a reusable and routine hypersonic test capability. Congratulations to the Stratolaunch team and our partners on this achievement! Stay tuned on our progress as we prepare to fly our first fully reusable Talon-A vehicle, TA-2, later this year.

Stratolaunch Completes Talon-A Separation Test
zhlédnutí 65KPřed rokem
On May 13, 2023 the Stratolaunch team successfully completed its eleventh flight of Roc and first separation of the Talon-A vehicle, TA-0. The test was important for ensuring that Talon-A vehicles will cleanly and safely separate from Roc prior to powered flight. With this milestone complete, the company will progress to its first hypersonic flight of the TA-1 vehicle.

First Engine Hot Fire Test
zhlédnutí 3,7KPřed rokem
Bringing a hypersonic test service to our customers is exactly what the U.S. needs to enable critical technology capabilities, leading to an ability to leap-ahead of our peer competitors. We’re doing just that using Ursa Major’s Hadley rocket engine, which will propel the Talon-A hypersonic testbed to Mach 5 and beyond. Check out the first hot fire of the Talon-A integrated propulsion system at...

Pylon Release System Mass Simulated Drop Test
zhlédnutí 3,5KPřed rokem
Mic drop! This month we put our pylon release system to the test by releasing an asset simulating properties of the Talon-A vehicle. This ground test serves as an additional proof point for how the release system will work in flight and ensure that the Talon-A vehicle will cleanly and safely separate from Roc during a mission.
Hypersonic Research: A National Imperative
zhlédnutí 6KPřed rokem
Advancing hypersonic technology is imperative to the United States defense strategy. Former Chief Scientist of the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Mark Lewis and Stratolaunch Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Daniel Millman share their thoughts on the history, current affairs, and future of hypersonics. Dr. Millman also discusses how the Stratolaunch Talon-A, a reusable autonomous test vehicle, will be used to...
Stratolaunch Talon-A Flight Concept

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5 . Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. This animation demonstrates how the Roc and Talon vehicles will work as one to be a flight test asset for our nation.
Talon-A Vehicle Mated with Roc Carrier Aircraft for First Time
zhlédnutí 7KPřed rokem
Welcome to a new chapter in hypersonic flight test. We recently mated our first test vehicle, TA-0, to Roc for the first time. TA-0 will be used to test and validate Roc's release system and characterize separation dynamics. The team will conduct functional and integration testing on the vehicles in the coming months, culminating in a captive carry and safe separation testing later this year.
Stratolaunch Engineering Team Integrates Roc with Pylon

You may notice something different about Roc during our next test flight. Our team recently installed a pylon on the center wing that is used to carry and launch the Talon-A hypersonic test vehicle. Meet some of our engineers involved with the hardware integration and learn more about how we are preparing for separation testing and hypersonic flight test.

Stratolaunch Hangar Construction Timelapse
That's exactly what I wanted to see: not a continuous shot of the landing, but Peggy-Sue-Piggie staring into the distance right during the money-shot! Great editing! Don't quit your day job!
virgin galactic white knight 2 but bigger
Cool !
Is it a movie or a real documentary ?
"Here comes the throttle. Circuit breakers in. We have separation. I got a blowout---damper 3!!!! Pitch is out! I can't hold altitude! Flight COM I can't hold her....she's breaking up she's break...."
why did the thumbnail look like KSP
i remember watching the video from 4 years ago and thinking it would never come so far.
What if the pilots on the left side want to go left and the pilots on the right side want to go right? 🤯
Everyone getting happy but only couple people who will be filling there bank accounts from they hard work
I'm sorry, but I don't get it.
What do you not get?
@@AviatorCharl It's a paper airplane attached to an albatross. It's a waste of engineering, resources, and money. The whole mess is a send-up to someone's ego. It's just not practical.
Dumb
And my wife thinks our Citroen Grand Picasso is too big to park...
So what happened?? Did it just crash somewhere?
That big aircraft looks like it should snap in half lol.
What the point?!
It's always sad to me that humans will spend so much time and so much money developing ways to kill each other. Anyone who thinks this isn't going to turn into a weapon is a fool.
And….
TA' Oriental index -- KOMS! This remembered - muslim brotherhood attack! You shared -- that relay!
What's with all the blurring of the flight control displays? Comes across as unnecessary secrecy (what information could possibly be in there that would help a competitor - it's just the launch aircraft!).
The x 15 lives
we don't need to see anyone on the ground in this overproduced drama bit.
What did it do did it get to hypersonic speed did it land safely 🤔🤔
Shi chin ping liked the video
Reminds me of the show Six Million Dollar Man.
I'll be honest, I dont get it
Not sure what the purpose of this is, also, why no footage of test flight, also, not sure why you need that giant thing to drop a teardrop.
This is big massive plane just for one prototype plane
😂😂😂❤❤❤
Great test! This double aeroplane is very beautiful, it is can be use as truck for space. Maybe better produce double rocket aeroplane platform for space low orbit and double ion or plasma engine aeroplane platform? Last type possible make as constructor on orbit by sending halfs from earth by jet platform , it will possible. Will possible to start new industry - on low orbit by building new stations for produce new goods on new very high quality and even interplanetary spaceships.
Where’s the total test flight video?
Lookalike:the strongest team on earth -snowball
looks fake
How is this not a rocket?

I wish Paul was here to see this. Damn.
I don't get it, they're stoked about dropping a rocket powered tiny unmanned plane?
2:40 Is there “HyperThrust” in those notes? While munching crisps: “Sus afkin’ ,…“
I was more impressed by those guys who did this with a Pontiac Fiero.
Was the supersonic aircraft actually manned, or was it just remotely controlled?
The existence of stratolaunch is kind of an enigma to me. They tried to launch orbital rockets from the Roc but failed/pivoted and now they launch a tiny hypersonic platform from a way oversized vehicle? Also if not the government, who is funding this research? I dont think I have ever heard of a company so focused on research with no deliverable products that does not have any government funding... not meaning to hate on them but I am just confused
☠BLACK BARON☠2:02 What's the highest Altitude of the "AirTransporter"?
it's all for the war right? no?
I'm not sure why they're so excited. The Darkstar can take off itself AND hit Mach 10. :P
Is this Virgin Galactic v2.0? Where do i invest my money? ;)
This kicks ASS
But why is the real question?
So... Not to diminish what they accomplished or anything, but isn't this just a bigger version of every single fighter jet when they release a missile?
Anyone else feel like you could've towed that thing up with a Cessna 172?
Lol super experimental 😂
another absolute nothingburger
